Max heat??

I have my kings kush plants in my closet with a small fan running 24 hours a day and a big fan for 12 ( while the lights are on. I have the. Closet door open just a bit when lights are on and temps stay at 78-85 degrees Fahrenheit but when I have the doors closed t gets as high as 95how long would pnats be able to survive in this heat? and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to cool the inside of my closet wit the doors shut, without punching a bunch of holes in the wall as I am in a rental place. Any help or tips would be great and much appreciated

rental place ouch and in closet not sure and my mate is rental place and i used his room to put tend in and with widnow bit open with big box suck air out of tent from fillter to out about the room n bit out and tend keep cool but closed id said make hole top of wall i mean ceil cant spell

Make a cardboard door the size of the entrance of closet so that you can install an intake and exhaust. The exhaust will extract hot air and the intake will bring in cool air. The air being pulled in should be 10 degrees colder than your goal temp. If the air isn't that cool you may need an ac unit. Good luck

Great tip thanks this is exactly what I'm gonna do now I just gotta find a way to take the doors off and find a quiet intake and outtake fan

for your grow i'd say keep the grow room closed and get dry ice. half a pound a day melted in there would increase CO2 and keep your grow room at a stable temperature. and no 95 is too high

Dry ice would become too costly over the grow cycle. The cardboard door sounds like a great idea. For a closet grow you could probably find some inexpensive 250cfm duct booster fans. I've seen them at my local hardware store for about $35 US and work great for venting smaller spaces

i have never even heard of anyone who actually uses dry ice with a purpose. . . people should give that one up

Cardboard is a pain in the ass if you're going to mount fans into it as well. And you expect to open and close this door every day? Just cut the holes into the actual door and replace it when you leave, you can get that quality of a door for like $20. Patching drywall is pretty simple and cheap too, if you cut corners expect results to match.

why dont you buy cheap one and go home take that one off to put it away to safe so it wont be look different when put back lol

Ok I like the idea of getting new doors to put fans onto, if I got an inline a fan outline fan and a fan on the inside would I be able to have a 400w HPS or HID light without having heat problems? I'm in a closet that's about 4"x 2" x 6" tall

REALLY!??? Changing the door is the best idea. You could possibly only use one fan to draw fresh air in under the door. Passive intake with a 4 or 6 inch inline fan removing hot air from the top. This would most likely solve your problem. Good luck

Is the light air-cooled or not?

I've run a 400w HPS in a 2'x5' closet without an intake. just a fan blowing on the bulb and another drawing air into the closet. 85 max temp. ran fine.

One small clip on fan for light and osc for floor. that's all I had at the time.
