Wilted Branch - to remove or to leave as is (pics)

hey all. On july 19th a storm with very strong winds hit where I live. One of the low branches on my outdoor White Widow X Big Bud plant was knocked down and partially snapped where the branch meets the main stem. Although the branch remained fully attached, it was unable to hold itself up due to the injury. I tied it back into place with hopes that it would repair itself. 22 days later and the branch is alive, but wilted. Some side growth coming off the branch looks healthy but the main apex and some other side growth is wilted still, with some lower fan leaves yellowing. My question is whether to wait for this to possibly repair itself and become healthy again? (though I am unsure if that will happen), or to count my losses and take the whole branch off. See the attached pics, any advice is much appreciated!!

Dude you need to net or cage that hole plant. Stakes or something. When the buds get big and the first rain all the branches will break. I can't count how many times I seen this. There is a good reason why you see large plants caged, netted or staked good. Until then tie off all the branches to the main stem for you won't lose anymore. If your losing them now just imagine when you have all the bud weight on the branch. Then add the weight of the rain. And then the wind alone.

Don't be the guy whose colas are laying in the dirt come first rain and wind storm. It happens every year to growers.

backyard or bush growing?

I use trellis netting and stakes to cage them. Do it now so your plants grow thru the nets. I few stakes in the ground and lay the net around your plant. Within a week the net will be inside your plant holding up the branches. Then they can't sway in the wind and snap off. And if it did rain your branches weigh a lot more and will snap without any wind at all. The trellis net fixes all this. 5x15 net at home depot for like $10.

ASAP you need to tie your branches off to you main stem. Use duck tape if you have to. That way the branches have to break the tie off before the whole branch breaks off the main stem. Like I said every year lots of growers find the colas in the dirt. You can risk it and many plants do just fine. It's you call. But tie them off for sure.

I can give you more advice but need to know if you care about stealth or not?

Put a long stick down the middle of the main stem and tie any branches to that, an easy technique if you don't want to use tomato cages. very nice plant yo you can make some clones with that branch or just shove it in the ground and maybe it will turn into a big clone lol.

In my situation I can't afford to draw attention to my plants, and I think a trellis would be too obvious. But i will definitely tie them up. I didnt consider this before thanks bro! you saved me from potential disaster

If you netted them now you would not see the netting in a few days. It's inside the plant. Your plant is still stretching. You know they can double in size during this time right?

What kind of netting does one need to get and where is it available?

op: Any netting with 3"-5" square holes will work. As 5150 said it will support the plant as it grows through it, no more broken branches!
