hi all,

i started today 12/12 light cycle, should i immediately start using the flowering nut. or just water them first for a few days

i have for the flowering fase the high yield kit from advance nutrients (sensi bloom A+B, big bud and voodoo juice)

and one more thing for any advance nutrients user:
should i stick to their nutrient calculator (the one u do in Advance N website), in other words should i use the amounts they recommend?

peace :peace:

I never really thought of that. or maybe I did and just dont rememeber :P
If I have nutrient water at the ready and I switched to 12/12 I use it until its all gone, but if I was out of water and needed to mix some moreee, I would do it on day one of 12/12, buttt theirs got to be something or somone that says what is the right thing to do, I would imagine giving them the veg nutes for the first few days of flowering wold be okay, I dont think the plants realize whats going on for about 5 days after light changes, buttt I'm just pulling this info out of my ass basically :P
so please. somone eiter say I'm right or call me an asshole :P I want to know the answer too... or I want to know if I already know the answer?

Ive heard that only once or twice, and it makes sence, but than again it dosnt :P it seems most growers call the first day of 12/12 the first day of flowering, while a minority (dosnt mean their wrong) call day 15 of 12/12 day one of flowering, it makes sence, I mean the plants take time to react to whats going on, maybe it dosnt matter either way, maybe it makes all the difference in the world who knows???/ I dont know who! I was asking you!!!

I wait until a week in to dose them. I also just use the recomended dosage until it is time ot flush. If you listen to people like Stickycrippled, you will end up with wack weed.

I also give my plants veg nutes the first 2-3 weeks of flower to cover the new growth. This is in soil FYI.

after some reading on RIU i'm getting tempted to give them a flush, like making it 'fresh start' for flowering by cleaning residues of grow nutr. that may be in soil

will i gain anything good with it (in my case, that don't seem to be having any over nut problems) or is it unnecessary ?

cheers

but shamegame do you ADD them together (the grow. nut and the blossom nut) or just give the grow n. for the 1+2weeks and then you change to flowering nut (one at the time)

thanks

I give them veg nutes only for the first 2-3 weeks. Then I switch to only bloom nutes You do not have to go 3 weeks, I have just done that with some sativas that had a total flowering time of more than 10 weeks :peace:

I see no reason to flush the veg nutes from your pots before switching to bloom nutes. You could if you want, it wouldn't hurt anything, but there is no reason to really aside from salt buildup. And it's probably not an issue for you.
