I have not fed them much yet. How did your plants take to feeding? Any N sensitivities? Light, moderate or heavy feeding?

No sensitivities that i recall. I have records of my feeding schedule written down somewhere. I will take a look and see what i did.

The action is really starting to pickup with the Bubba OG's. I'll be doing updates weekly now. I'll really kick up the pics in the final weeks.
Tmrw I will have some more for you all.

So far, looking very good. Already I can pull some really nice smells with a rub of the stem. Just what I needed... a tasty great smelling plant. I'm excited..!
I think my early photoperiod issues have these plants all behind by about a week... Looking at Dr Grubers report, it seems as though I'm behind.
With this test grow though, I'm not in a hurry and yield isn't so much a concern as getting a good picture of what the pack has to offer. So far, it looks like it has great things to offer.

I think I must have labeled some incorrectly in the last post. Not sure.
#6 had to be trained to fit under the fan. Tent growing can be a pain like that.
I'm wishing I would not have cut off so much lower growth (#5). These plants do not stretch and put out new branches like most of my other genetics. I lost a bit of yield using my old techniques. Still, should get a good idea of what smoke they offer.

#8 has a top too tall to include in the photo... it actually goes above the light... I might bend the top over. I pulled the side branches on #8 under the tomato cage ring to really spread it out and keep it low. #8 really stretched out.

I think I have been pushing it with giving the transplants little time to adapt to their 5 gal flower pot. It works out ok for some genetics but I think I'm missing out on potential yields. I have a crop of Green Crack going in soon that I am going to transplant a little earlier than usual. Maybe go from 2/3 g pot to 5 gal pot 2 wks before sending the 5 g pot to flower.

Beginning of wk 4.

So, I have 3 plants that look like they want a little more feed than the other 4. Tonight, I'm going to feed the 3 plants with a good dose of Dyna Gro 9-3-6.. The other 4 will get ph'd water. Hopefully that evens things out.

I don't think it is as much genetic variation as the 3 plants are getting more light than the other 4. Or else, it's just one hell of a coincidence..

Yeah. These Bubba OGs have a stature and kind of growth that I am so unfamiliar with.
I like that. I feel like I have something NEW to work on. The tricks I've used with my current mothers do not apply. I'll def dig into the keeper very soon.

Great show! Any updates?
Yes sir!

Week 5

So, they are coming along pretty nicely... I'm thinking with the next update I will take each plant out of the tent to get a good look.
These plants are staying pretty healthy with ease. Not much fuss. I am feeding all of them at the same strength and intervals.

Plant number 6 and 8 are really tough to photograph... The pics are kinda weak. Both are being heavily trained to fill and fit their spaces in the tent/

These buds are looking really nice. Frosty, beautiful, sharp, DANK!

Other than being tucked under a circ fan, these plants are getting very generous spacing. They have plenty of room to show their shape characteristics, which I like and find worth sacrificing some yield.

I added some bud shots to the week 5 update with "edit". Buds are looking good.

Taking some quick smells from 2, 4, and 5... I'm getting mixes of Pine-sol, car fresher, vanilla, cherry, and cola.
I'm impressed so far

I was taking some time to smell 8, 7 and 6 today
6 has the most smell of the 3...kind of that cherry vanilla flavor. It's sort of like the cola gummy candies...

The bud pictures up top really do not do justice. I will be taking them out of the tent for pics next week. Hopefully I can get a better pic of just how resinous these buds are.
These buds are the most resinous stuff I've had growing since my Deep Chunk plant some years ago. Be-A-utiful .

mid week 6

The last update featured #2 and #3. So, I'm kinda skipping over them (just one pic in the tent) to cover good natural lighting pictures of 3-8.
I'm thinking with next weeks update I'll stick to just one simple pic of each plant but get into some detail like smell, resin content, growth patterns, etc.

I wish I would have taken more shots of 7... It's a great one, a potential keeper... next time.

Getting them out of the tent... I can see that about half of them need a good strong feeding while the other half are stocked on nutes with nice green leaves. So, tonight I will make up 2 different nutrient solutions for them.

The smell on #4 is great... when the plant gets jostled... I get this roasty coffee sort of smell from it... when rubbing the buds and leaning in for a smell it's a lemony cleaning chemical kind of smell... 1/2 way between real citrus and an artificial smell. That artificial smell being 1/2 way between a cleaning chemical and a candy.

Can you tell I suck at identifying smell? haha.

The smell and taste of this plant are what sets it apart in my opinion...oh yeah, its potent as hell too.
Wait until you smoke it and the Musty taste comes through...I love it!!!

By the way...Looking good man!!

Looking good Hank,

My last order with Dr Green thumbs was for these and my order did not show up! forcing me to cancel my credit card payment which resulted in Doc himself calling and threatening me on the phone!!

I have previously run his gear with great success but refuse to use him again for obvious reasons, it appears that you did not have 100% seed germination?
