I apoligized and edited my comments right after I put them out there. What i will not do is act like you have the right to talk shit after that ,tough guy. Its funny how people like you act big in a world where you cannot be got to, but listen to coldplay and wear tight pants and wont look my way in public. I think that the question of "Can you grow with LEDs" isn't as black and white as you guys are making it out to be. From my observations and research, I will admit that quality is not as good as a high intensity discharge light of the proper spectrum, however, there are valid reasons for using a LED light. Among the pros of the LEDs are lesser amounts of radiant heat (great for small spaces ie stealth grows), the compact size of the light, the amount of electricity they consume, and the life of the bulbs. It's really about the grower's situation and limitations.

As for this... I am just starting growing again, and do not have that much cash to invest into such an operation. My garden is legal (limit of 3 plants in veg and 3 in flower). However, I bought some cheap equipment in order to kick out a harvest or two so that I will have money to spend on a nice setup next time around. All in all, I spent around $600. Though the harvest is not quite finished, I have done some estimations. Being very generous with my figures, I am estimating a harvest of 10 ounces (though probably closer to 3/4 lb). Also, the plants are looking top notch and will come out very beautiful. Here is my current setup:

your claiming 4.4 pounds per plant from CFLs? VERY UNTRUE. You wont eve get that from HID.... 1 Kilo = 2.2 pounds
you will barely get 2 OZ from a plant using CFLs. If lucky.
