Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Actually, I know next to nothing about these guys. I posted a video in my journal about a grow op in Denver that was using the Illumitex brand of product just thinking it all sounded cool and how it sorta coincided with the discussion that was at hand, but I got an interesting response to the video by one of the forum members here. My brain continued to concentrate on the subject of "homogenous" lighting which has led me here. I've only known about Illumitex for a week, or so, I'd say.

On their website, though, it says:
Haven't researched the founders any more than that, really. It is a little odd that Henglight is making the exact same lights, though, imo. Even more out of place is them trying to contact Envirolux on LinkedIn as if they were meeting for the first time... And that's the only way I ever would have caught wind of those guys, I don't see them mentioned anywhere, really, apart from trade sites. Henglight was also founded in 2005, if you were wondering.
Yeah, considering where they are based out of and that they are "veterans".. I would say they are former Freescale guys who went off.
There are fucking geniuses working at that place. I used to deliver there and had great conversations with engineers. Fucking mind blowing conversations..

Bumping... I've looked at the NeoSol 300 watt light.. Is there a huge advantage going with the bars over the NeoSol units?

I'm looking to do a 6x6 tent... Im thinking about doing a 4 square, diagonal thing with 2 600 hps and 2 300 Neo Sol.

So..

(hps) (led)

(led) (hps)

.. over either a 6x6 or 7x7..

thoughts? anyone?

Anyone know about the California Lightworks LED solar storm 400w?

I was thinking about getting one of these and one of the Illumitex.

Neosol uses same exact technology as the bars. If you're cool with the premium on the 300W I say go for it. SGS-160 draws 155W at $535. Not a huge difference in cost if you ask me.

This is the best price I've been able to find on either NeoSol model.

I got a response from Henglight sales:
Thanks for your information and feedback. Thanks for your interested in our products. May we have more your information of your company and brief information of your company. Do you have more detail information of your company contact?
What's plant do you want to grow from this light? If we can get more this information, we could provide more better solution for you.
Why you need this light and what kind of plants do you want to grow? Reply your question as following
1. F1, F3, F6 spectrums in our light is available and it will take 4-6 weeks, F5 will be 6-8 weeks
2. T1,T2 and T3 spectrums are also the standard and it's just as F1,F3, F6 spectrums; the reason for Tx spectrums have so much blue light is becasue this blue is better for photosynthesis and also the blue light is for stomatal openging and blue is good for chloroplast movement.
They are not only good for flowers/orchids,but also they are good for tomatoes, cucumbers or bell peppers as your request. We will suggest T1 and T2 are better for tomatoes, cucumbers or bell peppers
3. Regarding to Illumitex old generation, the thermal stability issue and permature device failures in one major question, but this thermal stability major caused by their watt and power disspassion is not well. In our products, we have better improvement in these problem and also better performance in the thermal stability as their disadvatage.
4 We can give you price for that, but please let me know what's meaning of 24" led bars meaning? This request I am not sure your request. It's meaning the chip size or your request of the finish led products? Please clearfy
Please also find enclosed the comparison data as our products and Illumitex
Again, thanks for the chances to serve for you. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
So, yeah, they're Chinese. In the new PDF's they sent me they're calling the F3 spectrum A2. Ah, Jesus... Also, all their newer spectrums (the Tx line) have a boat load of blue in them. He/She recommended T1 or T2 for tomatoes. T2 looks like it might be:
1 x 730nm
2 x 660nm
1 x 5700k
1 x 450nm

The F3/A2 spectrum looks the best to me. He/She said "F5" would take longer than other spectrums. I'll have to go back an look at all the PDF's, I don't remember there being an F5. For now I'll assume he means X5 which, to me, resembles the Area51 lighting scheme. Both A51 and the X5 spectrum are mixing Cool White with 660nm for full spectrum coverage.

The SGS-160 has CREE's 620-630nm

Here's something I'm interested in, 730nm spots

.. "Flower Initiator" for $50 + timer = good deal

Oh, whoops. Not both 660nm, I guess. Forgot, Cree doesn't have Deep Red.

Those spotlights come with a driver? I thought they were $15, or something. More like $70 after shipping, I think, plus the timer. Also, they still have a 50 degree beam angle. To cover your area they might need to be kind of high. Probably higher than your light panels, even. If that makes things any more difficult for you, Idk.
