Craig its not legal to grow in IL. Even for med card holders. You can grow for recreational use in CO and WA. Florida might be next come 2014 for med use. Even if it did. I still wouldn't get a med card. Fuckin feds don't respect state law.

Actually, there is no way you can know that because they haven't even made the laws or regulations for it. The new bill takes effect on Jan 1st, 2014 and the legislation has several months (4, I believe) to come up with the standards for MMJ in Illinois. Colorado is actually just decriminalized, at the moment, with plans to become fully legal next year.
How cool does it make you to bash our government? You can always leave the country and try somewhere else if you don't like the government.

Craig, if the man wants to hate the Government, let him. I personally think the gov's out to fuck us. Have You ever done an extended amount of time in jail? Or how about multiple court hearing followed by probation? Its all about money, man.. All of it. I LOVE America, dont get me wrong... But money makes the world go round and in a lot of cases, we are just numbers.. If the Feds raided RIU and put you away, do you think they would care that you defended them? No.. They'd make $3 a day off of you in an orange jump suite..

I been to jail once; don't ever plan to go back. I know all about the prison/ political system and how it uses the weak and disposable for greater and greater profits. Most people aren't like that thou, mainly just the puppetmasters. Our country has forever been trying to fix its past fuck-ups and we've made it up to about the 1930s as far as fixing wrongs (blacks, women, gays, etc). Big business still has too many hands in the government pockets for too long; it's really not a political issue as much as it's corporate greed.
However, I have been to multiple other countries and we have it WAAAAAY better than most. A few countries are def well better off than we: Canada and England. Haven't been to any far Eastern countries but read about multiple human right's voliations. We have come a long way, but still have further to go!
That's my two cents; I'm done.

I would say November/December would be best; that way any outdoor growers can harvest/cure their crop for FCC (Florida Cannabis Cup). As far as prizes, what are you thinking? Since not funded and can't advertise, who gonna put up money for them? Already gonna need a centralized facility to host the gathering and figure out who's in and how to contact/arrange the affair.

I am a few days from harvesting my Pakistan Valley (covered in trichs) and the Doctor (super fruity sticky). Got 5 more in flower and 2 just starting to get leaves. One of my Royal Flush's and the Super Lemon Haze are 3 feet tall (indoors, 12/12 from seed) and branching like a mugg.

Also Nov and Dec may be too soon if we all have to travel to an agreed location. May have to save up money and buds.

Not to rain on the fest, but you do realize you are proposing this in THE most draconian state in the union? A measly 20 grams will get you a felony in FLA. Instead of a fest, we should all get together and march to the State House and have an Occupy Cannabis protest to bring attention to the ridiculous laws that exist in Florida. After we free the fallen from prison we can have a festival to celebrate...

I love my country but... I don't trust my government. Not to be negged out. The politician's don't want us growing our own. They want to be able to tax it. Their are a lot of bible thumping politicians in IL. I think its fucked up and a violation of civil rights. It is 100% legal to grow 6 plants for recreational use in Co.
