should i change pots?? PICTURE- which pot is best?

i'm one week into flowering this AK-48 in the greenhouse. I enfore 12/12 by taking it in every night.

Just wondering if you think i should transfer it into a bigger pot, and if so which of these do you recommend. One is much bigger and wider, the other is in between and may be easier to carry inside every night. However I dont want to have to transfer again.

most definately..it's all about roots, roots and more roots! click on my journals and you'll see what i mean..

Couple of comments, first, once a plant goes into a flowering mode, root production is put on the back burner for the plant. I'd upcan to the large pot anyway, can't hurt unless the rootball falls apart which I doubt is gonna happen. Bury it right up to the first node.

2nd, that is one lanky plant. Even my pure sativas rarely have internodes that long. Gonna be a tall one such that you may want to consider topping it if your headspace is limited. What is it? Also looks like a male to me. Is it sexed yet?

My .02 I would put it into 5 gallon smart pot. I have tried many pots and buckets. I use only smart pots now. Honestly though I think you will be fine with any 5 gallon container with good drainage.

I agree on waiting till the end DONT GUESS IT. Regardless Chuck it in a 20-25 ltr pot with good soil and adequate drainage and fingers crossed if all goes well no set backs or bad mistakes you should pull 4-5 oz's off it dry as I get that every year without too much dramas per pot here. Good luck

thanks for your advice. I just repotted it in the bigger one but didn't do it up to the first node.... do you think i should do it again?? Why do you think it's male!? I'm 70% sure it's female- it has tiny white hairs starting to show.

Males will always stretch more than their female counterparts. If you have pistils, it's a she. ;)

Don't disturb it again. For the future keep in mind that any part of the "trunk" that is buried will output roots. That's a good thing.
