All Hash Butane Runs

So I was talking to a grower friend of mine and he was complaining about not being able to get rid of any hash. I offered to run a trial run of BHO from his blackberry kush hash. I figure chopping it up as fine as possible would be best... but I'm open to all ideas. Also about what kind of butane to hash ratio would you guys suggest. If it turns out well with even a so so yield he has many pounds of hash to transform ;)

And yes I'm aware of being careful with blowouts and should put a bit of bud or trim at the top and bottom. Mostly looking for the ratio anyone has found that works best to at least have a starting point... thanks guys.

everclear....

it is not a waste if you got lots that wont sell, or you got lots, and do just a test run of 5g or so ;)

dissolve it in everclear, filter it.

the only waste is the 3% that the filter sucks up. the shit that the filter catches will not get you high.. anymore.

then, you can either evap it, and smoke it. OR put it in the freezer and try to winterize it and pull some waxes out.

re filter it. and evap it.

prepare for a 30-40% loss in weight from the hash but a 200% increase in customer satisfaction and compliments.

personally this is exactly what I would do. im a qwiso kind of guy myself. and winterize that shit! good luck Kase! photos are always a plus as well!

Thanks guys will post up pics and methods... don't think I really wanna do an everclear extraction on it. Probably going to do butane and see the result, if it's not satisfactory I will try something else. That's what I have atm, but since it will be worth it, I would try a different way if I don't like the result. I think if chopped fine enough butane will properly strip the resin from whatever plant matter got into it...

then go post on another thread that has something to do with bubble, have your hand at ice wax with mr. rize, we like our BHO.

We have good luck extracting kif and bubble using a 1 1/2" X 6" column on a Mk IIIA Terpenator. Yield is 60/70%, leaving behind a light tan duff.

What an interesting perspective. I'll bet it does to some really ignorant, closed minded people.

Bubble Hash oil is the bomb......I usually crumble hash into very small pieces (must be dry) into a glass coffee press....the shoot in enough calabri butane to more then cover the hash...after a few minutes I press the solution, and pour thru a coffee filter into a big mason jar(keeping everything cold too). I then pour everclear into the butane to boil it off. After the butane is all gone, I throw the jar into the freezer to winterize. The next day, filter again and evaporate off on a a glass dish.....vac purge if you desire......at this point. I find the butane doesn't take as much water from the hash with the initial extraction, thus rendering a better flavor hash oil......but when I extract directly with everclear, I get a water taste in the oil.........IMO....

We as a union of cannabis consumers should never be sooooo damn hateful towards fellow brethren.

I think you may want to point your shame elsewhere, and maybe rethink who you call foolish.
Many that pioneered our beloved BHO just happen to have a strong grasp in chemistry and have the credentials to prove so.

For myself, I love cannabinoids and essential oils in which are so highly concentrated within a bho oleoresin, that only a dab is needed for a full spectrum of differing cannabinoids rushing through my bloodstream.

There is a ton of supporting lab tests performed to verify it's viability in a medicinal capacity.

I still have yet to see one of us BHO consumers go into a water hash thread and start hurling insults at the water hash enthusiasts...quite the opposite actually.

My point is...we all love cannabis, and the canna-culture should embrace new ideas and processes, while still giving the respect that traditional procedures that have been utilized for thousands of years.
