ok lets do the math. 50.00cpo (clueless as to why you keep adding three zero's after your decimal...not needed) is equal to about two pennies. If you did this for 30 days you would have successfully gave about 60 cents to feed the hungry for the month. If done for the year it will be about $7.20.

I would never talk about a person who donates to a cause, but I do believe if you spent less time on here talking about everyone else and more time searching the ground for two more pennies a day, you could double your donation for the year... making it a whopping 14.40. Let me know when you do and I will gladly match that with my other donations made yearly.

No, you got it wrong. Buck isn't the slave, he's the slaver master. I don't blame those who use the welfare state, I actually think it sucks that politicians fool them. They make it so enticing to be on the dole, that any attempt to get off it is punished. What are you going to do, make your life "better" if you're worse off actually going to work because you went $1 over the limit and get nothing? The reason I despise liberals like Buck is they get off on knowing others suffer. Then get a thrill saying how the better off like them are why the poor aren't starving. But the reality those who support the welfare system are the reason the system exists in the first place. If you want to make these people better, actually give them a job. Make them to what the programs were intentionally meant to do under FDR. At least under his system those on government aid had to fucking work, even if it meant making trails in national parks. I can support that. But now our parks are in shambles and you pay way too much to enter and stay there. This isn't the America which became great after WWII. If we're not careful, we're going to humanitarian ourselves into a 3rd world country like Mexico. It makes me very sad actually.

Yes, because living in poverty and not enjoying life is a small price to pay for $25 a month in food stamps. It's just so dang enticing, I'm surprised everyone hasn't clued in to the gravy train.

They do work for benefits if they're single without dependents and don't have health issues. Go to your county office and you will often see people being picked up in vans to be taken places to work. The problem that you overlook is that it costs money to transport people and you have to pay for their bus fare to get to the county office. Then you have to pay someone to oversee them, pay for their disability when they get injured and their medical fees. Not to mention they burn more calories digging fire pits at the state park than what you're giving to buy daily with food stamps.

But let's punish the poor because sadism makes me feel better about myself.

You have no idea how deeply entangled these programs are. A family can get $600 month food stamps, $1500 month unemployment. Then with section 8,medical, universall lifeline and utility assistance, it can be dang enticing. But then you go work and all that is gone. How do you pay for medication at '$2,000 per drug, say you need 3. You're looking at over $10,000 per month and still poor. The reason is your disposible income is almost nothing. If someone like me says that's bullshit, people like you make dumb comments. These programs real purpose is to make the rich even richer, not to help the poor.

Reason magazine recently ran a story that showed that welfare in Hawaii is equivalent to a job that pays $65K per year...
