Pesticide During Flowering

Pretty sure I messed up my grow. Long story short we have bugs horrible in my area (live in the sticks). I uses Sevin on my plants this year until I got Neem Oil.
2 weeks into flowering on my only female I decidecided to rub Sevin Dust on the leaves. Now I'm worried about it being on the bud which is inevitable. I drenched it with a hose and lightly blew it off with an air compressor*attachment.
Should I just toss it? I assume the dust will be locked up pretty tight in the bud no matter what happens over the next 6 weeks

Sevin is pretty nasty stuff - were it me I'd burn it on the burn pile staying way upwind of it.

Yeah it seems pretty sketchy. It is an outdoor plant if that matters.
I did ask a guy who's grew for years around here. He said it should be fine because the bud will be growing outward but idk I'm debating until I hear more suggestions

Hit the provided link, read all the Material Safety Data Sheet & if you feel ok with putting that in your body then do so.

Me? I'd rather not ingest something that toxic.

I only use Sevin in Veg. It's designed to stick to the plant.
It gets into the fold of the buds. Like you said pretty impossible to get it all out.
The only thing I can think of is Rinse your buds out good in the sink. After you harvest you should be able to soak your buds for a while. You won't get it all, but it's worth a shot.

I note that the pesticide itself is miscible so that's a plus, but at what cost ?
Additionally, any runoff should be contained and treated as the HazMat that it is.

This stuff is straight up poison & I'd destroy treated plants rather than risk hurting myself or someone else out of greed.

The Sevin has a half life of 14 days on leafy vegetables. That's how long you'd have to wait after application for it to break down for consumption.
Very true out of the bottle it's some potent stuff. That's one of the reasons you use it. but it breaks down quickly. It has to if it's intended to be used in people's Vegetable Gardens.
Sevin® is a trademark for the insecticide commonly called carbaryl.

Carbaryl has a short residual life on treated crops. The insecticide remains at the application site, where it is slowly taken into the plant and metabolized. Insecticidal properties are retained for 3-10 days. Loss of carbaryl is due to evaporation and uptake into plants. Breakdown by sunlight does not appear to be significant.

Degradation of carbaryl in the soil is mostly due to sunlight and bacterial action. It is bound by organic matter and can be transported in soil runoff. Carbaryl has a half-life of 7 days in aerobic soil and 28 days in anaerobic soil (9). Degradation of carbaryl in crops occurs by hydrolysis inside the plants. It has a short residual life of less than two weeks. The metabolites of carbaryl have lower toxicity to humans than carbaryl itself. The breakdown of this substance is strongly dependant on acidity and temperature.

I didn't keep looking beyond the MSDS - if the product degrades quickly then I would ease up a bit.
I still dislike ingesting chemicals I can avoid - too many friends and relatives have been "Touched" by the big C to be comfortable with that stuff.

I use it a lot during veg.. usually twice per month and once again when I first notice its transition into bloom. From what I've noticed it washes away within 4-5 days but then again we've had a pretty wet summer. I also always soak my buds in water for a few minutes as soon as I harvest just to be on the safe side.
