Looking for opinions on new auto strain.

It's Dark Devil, from Sweet Seeds.

How was the buzz and potency? Is $7.50 per seed worth it, or should I be growing another autoflower, and why?

Well, it's new for 2013 so reviews will be kinda rare atm. I'm growing it right now, but only 16 days into veg so it's a little early for a smoke report. I will say I think it's gonna actually be a purple plant regardless of temps, the stem is a deep thick purple color and leaves are green but dark. We'll see. I hope someone else responds, I'd like to know as well.

In any case, sent you a friend request. Do you have a blog on here for the grow or something? A brand new strain with no info on it would be a hot item (although I understand keeping low profile as well).

Thinking on it, I had read somewhere that the purple in the plant comes completely from the ruderalis side of the lineage. In my basic understanding of things, this is a different genetic structure than say, GDP, PU, or even some of the AK genotypes. More to the point, that these resemble the purples in color alone but effects are probably more similar to the indica Big Bud lineage.

I believe Dark Devil is crossed with hindu kush that is supposed to be purple. I'm not sure if it's entirely the ruderalis. I'm also trying black cream, but so far it's 100% green. I might do a journal, I just ordered some LEDs and was gonna wait and journal a new grow from start to finish, but you have a point, it's a new strain, people might be curious. I agree, we should compare results, I accepted your request.

they just took one of their purple strains that they already had stable and bred another purple strain into it

and it would be a safe bet that the buzz would be more leaning towards the skunk and NL (afghani x skunk) buzz with possible haze highlights

the mother is the first listed in a cross is how they're written

what site did you get your seeds from im trying to find a site i can trust i heard good and bad about nirvana seeds

I got the DDs from Herbies. I have used Nirvana with no issues as well, I recommend them both. Nirvana only sells their own strains and no single seeds though so it depends on what you are looking for. Both have good stealth and fair shipping costs. And both accept pre paid cards.
