First ever indoor grow but what seeds to order?

Hello - first post here :) Been smoking for years and finally taking the plunge to home grow. We're based in the UK.

So I've got a mate who knows what he's doing and he's going to set up an indoor self contained grow room for me in a small attic space I have, all as automated as possible. The area is small, both restricted height and area, maybe enough for 4 small plants.

I'm going to order some seeds but this is where the problem starts for me as I have literally no idea where to start. So if anyone can recommend some varieties that would work for me I'd really appreciate it.

So my requirements are:

  1. Minimum smell - the growing room is right next to where we sleep with just a small hatch door between us.
  2. Small size - we have restricted height, I can't remember off the top of my head but can measure it if needed, it's probably around 4-5 foot.
  3. Completely indoor and as easy to grow for a newbie as possible
  4. Something with a good balance of THC to CBD, I don't like super hard-core skunk with low CBD content that will just mong us out.
  5. Don't mind trying a couple of varieties, we're after something with a good trippy buzz but nothing that will just glue us to the sofa for hours.
  6. We have some interest in the medicinal value of this as well
  7. It's gonna be used in a vaporiser and cookies, we don't smoke much at all any more

Hope that is enough info, let me know if you need anything else.

it sounds to me like a hashplant or afghani influenced strain might work best for you.

lower in odour, they usually grow short with fat buds and are ready early, easy to grow in other words.

attitude sells many strains that are high in cbd, there are even cbd specific seed companies out there.

i recommend you use google and search for what you want. then see if you can find it on the attitude website. google attitude seedbank

hey sh, which ever seeds you go for ask for the stealth package, ie seeds sent in a wallet, I know in the UK its legal to collect seeds but u still don't want the cops knocking in 3 months time. as for thc/cbd content u`ll have to spend some time looking at different strains as I only have grown the couch lock mj, u seem to have plenty of height but go for an indica dominant strain as this will be bushier. as for smell u could vent the grow area with a diy crbon filter or buy 1, or you could just put a ona blocker in ur bedroom side of the hatch/door, this neutralises the smell. I used dinafem seed company and they arrived quickly and safely. good luck and happy growing from a fellow brit ;-) oh btw DO NOT TELL ANYONE its the number 1 rule.

Try White Widow, it's 3' high with a 4 week veg and I would go for 2-3 medium sized plants instead of 4 small ones personally.

For the hell of it... a good all rounder/great smoke/easy to grow/good yield Id have a look at 'Sensi Star'
Solid strain and pedigree would make a great first grow ;)

Cheers Jimmy

Sorry, no idea what this sentence means! remember I'm completely new to all this and don't get all the terminology yet :)

And thanks chaps for the other recommendations, I'll take a look at those. Costs isn't such a big problem, I want to make my life as easy as possible with the best outcome!

I would say indica or you could try a autoflower variety they have come a long ways with them in the last few years just a thoughtbongsmilie

So I put white widow into the search at attitude seed bank and about 35 different ones come up - this is my problem, I've NO idea which one to get!

From your specifications I would go with an afghani strain, white widow, hash plant, church, or even northern lights. Also you may want to look into some automatic flowering strains, although I don't like autos myself buy in your situation it may be a goodnf

1-get a carbon filter and inline fan, smell wont be a issue.
2-any plant you can train to keep small.
3-all plants can be grown indoor.. it tells u what to do so im not sure what you mean by easy? i mean you just water and start giving nutes depending what soil you get
4-seed bank sites list some of that stuff.
i personally suggest a bag seed grow for the first time.. why spend money on a seed when you never even germinated one before and it might die? to me, that seems pointless.
