Saying the economy is fuked up everywhere is correct but unless you've spent some time in michigan lately your missing the extent of the damage,michigan is a state that relys mainly on manufacturing jobs,namely General Motors & Ford Motors & the outsourced manufacturers that supply them,both Ford & GM are experiencing record losses.
Over the last 20 years we've experienced a loss in over half the manufacturing jobs & watched GM & ford close factory after factory,its got so bad here that the long time ditested jobs like Mcdonalds & Burger King are sought after.
Go to a Home Depot in Michigan & chances are a good portion of the work force is made up of highly skilled construction workers who are now working for minimum wage & happy to have that.
Its so bad here that teenagers who are on summer vacation cant find summer jobs anywhere because adults have taken them,teens who mow lawns & do yard work for spending money are being under cut by out of work adults who started lawn care businesses & are willing to mow a large yard for $7-10 .
Michigan is in a very bad way right now with no end in sight.

Im doing ok but only because im near retirement age & saved for decades,plus i own income properties.
My union contract that just passed has now left me with no overtime pay for working over 8 hours & loss of any gas or hotel expense for working in my entire state,i can be 5 hours from home in a hotel & it all comes out of my pocket now.
I was planning on working for 5 to 6 more years but it's getting so bad here that im seriously thinking about taking an early retirement after this year & leaving the state for good.

For the 1st year were just going to travel,we own a rersort membership with Outdoor Adventure,its a resort based on motorhomes & 5th wheel campers,so we plan to travel until we tire of it then possibly move out of the United States for good,retirement checks are direct deposit so i could pretty much live anywhere we wish.Thats nice to have an income with properties

Holy fuck 600 an ounce!!! I thought 200 was expensive lol. I would never pay for that. Btw I never knew Michigan was doing that bad, but up in southern Ontario like every Ford/gm plant is also getting closed down. It's all over the news every day about all these people losing jobs. Really sad to hear.

if you don't live in a state that has legalized medicinal marijuana that's about right for top quality exclusive herb. i'm not paying $600 because, i'm a get it wholesale by the lb. a oz. of high grade mids is going for $150, "dro" $300-$400, and the super exclusive shit i.e. sour d and various kush strains can go up to $1,000 a oz. i think a lot of you all are spoiled with your liberal state marijuana laws and us out here on the east side are feeling it. most of the co ops i've researched out cali are charging like $400 for their top shit so, why doesn't $600 a oz sound reasonable. if you don't have it like that just stick to what you can afford, sometimes you just have to stay within your means. let me add though if you live in a state that doesn't have legalized marijuana your ceiling for profit is way higher with exclusive shit. in my area we associate high grade marijuana profits with that of crack profit potential but, no where near heroine, but, extremely sufficient nevertheless.

Errr... I live in the South where cops are dicks and will arrest you for having a gram on you... I would know, it happened to me. Yet I still don't pay anywhere near $1000 an ounce for 'exclusive' stuff like Sour Diesel or White Widow. I pay $400-$450 an ounce of those strains. You're getting ripped off man. I'm in a state where it's still hella-illegal because of ignorance and I'm not even paying that much.

strangely in africa there is not much relation between price and quality,
the best is often affordable, whereas in the city centres they pay large
amounts for avg stuff.
quality seems more closey related to the length of the dealers dreads than
the price out here.
be careful that the strains you smoke are pure earth and sun,
people have been known to put all sorts of chemicals in the indoor stuff,
opium, h, coke....
thats why the govts are increasing the sentences.

shitted, i'm in the dirty too. like i said i personally don't pay a g but, it is not uncommon for people to pay $600 or better a oz. i pay a little less than your numbers but, lets put this into perspective. lets say i got a few lbs of OG kush (the real cali cut) and i'm on the east coast. i go on line and see that most co ops are selling it for $400 a oz, me as a distributor and smart business man i'm going to factor in a few things. exclusivity compared to my market, quality, and the fact that my customers don't have a medical marijuana card and there's your six hundred or more right there. i've bought exclusive shit at $250 per oz. bottled it in half a gram and gram increments and easily made $800+ per oz. don't get me wrong i feel how you feel about the price, but, with in my circle we often get the shit that's from cali and new york breeders and some times you have to pay a little more for exclusivity.

and if you get it in bulk its 1/100 th of amsterdam prices.
