ok, so im sittin here gettin blasted when it occurs to me that i should check the age of my two plants... one is mine(marigold) and im babysitting for a friend (earnie). my girl is fine, strong stinky and getting taller everyday at abt 7 weeks tomorrow. However, the other plant was sown on approx. FEB 14th. SEVENTEEN WEEKS AGO. shes been in veg FOR SEVENTEEN WEEKS!!!!! i know that this wont necessarily kill her but how can i get her onto a regular schedule? just throw her on a 12/12 or should i ease into it? i dont wanna kill somebodys plant! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

put it on 12/12, all it will do is induce budding, its a good thing

I DO!!! I think it helps signify to the plant that the season has changed and it is time to start a budding.

I don't do the dark period either and the plants bud fine,but to each his/her own I say.

I have done things both way in the past, after the 36 of darkness our plants would usually show thier sex after that time. whereas without it, it took us roughly a week in flower for them to do so.
