get a wider and taller one. a 1 gallon should do it well for now. And have a 3 gallon ready to transplant to before you make the flip to flower.1 more thing!

I've never had a plant flower for 20 weeks, the longest a strain has gone for me was 12 weeks, and that was my super lemon haze.
But to answer your question, the plant will stop growing vertically after the 1-3 week stretching period that it will undergo after being flipped to 12/12.
I highly doubt the OP will be growing a plant that exceeds 3 feet in height, especially if the OP is asking questions about light schedules.How do you figure that?
