Well, 1st off the two main stems where infact LST'D. And frankly I don't see what the issue is. It worked, the canopy was nice and even and the lower half of the plant was also bushey.
The "bud sites" wasn't braided up in the 1st place. I took extra time with that making sure of it.
But yeah, thanks 4 you 2 cents worth..

Hell, I may have 2 just braid another 1 up just to show everyone that it will infact work!
Not like I will loose much if it doesn't. But how I seen the 1st one respond to the technique, I'm sure it will do just fine.

Here's my thought on the Braided beast.
As long as the stalk isn't too think, Pinch both at the start of the braid. AFTER the flip.
As long as your tops have changed over to bud production, you will not have to do anything else braid-wise...
Lay them down and drop your lights closer. or if you happen to be doing it outside, just leave her. lol
This should increase the light penetration that all these haters seem to be bashing you about.. I do beleive you are correct with the massive braided bud. Outdoors standing up, it may cause caterpillar, mold, or other pest problems. Indoors you can control it a little more.

Damn! This old thread was on my list of threads that I never go to 4 the most part. Shit! Sorry.
But yeah, on this particular plant/strain, she loved to be LST'D from the get go. So I went ahead and thought I would try something new with her. "Braided" her right up. She didn't like it at 1st, and she lost a few leaves. But once she took to it, she exploaded with new growth! She also became more bushy, filling in nicely along her bottom half. I had 6 300 watt CFL'S running along on the ground for the bottoms. And at that time had the 600 watt HPS & 800 watt LED beating down on her tops.
Everything was going great with her, she had even started show pistols (bud formation) along her tops. They where all nice and even if I may add 2.
I had sit the damn fan ontop of a counter top (thinking it was secure)! Then bash!!
The damn fan had scooted its way off the counter!! She split right down her main stalk, all the way down to the base of the container she was in.. I tried like hell to patch her up with electric tape, but just was to much of a break. I've split others before LST'N them, and had to tape those up and they did just fine.
But not this 1..
I was seriously thinking about trying another.

Id be afraid of tight quarters once it starts budding out, or encouraging mold/rot etc.. I try and spread my buds away from each other, when they grow into each other I have had problems. I mean you can't help 'some', not sure at this point if I would encourage it. I do love to tinker and experiment though, so keep us up to date as you go.

Cool deal. Thanks. Yeah, out of the yrs I've grew, honestly can say I haven't had any issues with mold, or any other thing, except for damn spider mites 1 time!! That was 8 yrs ago or so.
man those damn things where so hard 2 get rid of!! I had to end up taring out all the plants and cleaning the entire room I had at that time and starting over new! As for the "lower" growth on the ones that I do braid up, they seem to be doing ok with all the CFL'S along the ground. Will only produce popcorn bud anyways..

See, that's right.. People don't have to be so quick to judge, when honestly I don't think this method has ever been completed on a cannabis plant. That's why I was wanting to give it go, and then ended up getting bashed from all sorts of people! Who is to say it won't workSee............ People can give opinions without being rude.
