i hate to jump on the bandwagon faded but that is heat stress..out here in the desert you'll see it more often then not in the summer....i seen you list your temps at 90-100+ which is most defently your problem...can you pump cold airinto the room...or is it sealed from the rest of the place..the only alternative in my eyes is stop summer growing..light at night...or get some ac in there.......peace az
adding more fans will only push the hot air around....he actually needs cold air pumped in there...

I forgot to mention that FDD....run your lights at night if you don't already...I do that out here in AZ and it is workin better for me than during the day...keeps temps more consistent...I run em from 530pm till 630am.....you can also go to home depot and buy a batt of insulation for a few bucks and throw it in your attic above that room...it helps if it's feasable...meaning you have attic space. anyway...hope it is getting better man...heat stress takes the plant a few days in my experience to get better....good luck

heat stress can be aliviated by add Co2 to the mix, co2 allowes the plant to maintain it's nomal growth in hoter climates. cheap way to up the carbon leavels is to use baking soda and vinnigar. dry ice, is another way, easer to gage, but costly!

while adding co2 does help the plant with heat stress..its not a stand alone measure an still shouldn't be done over 85+....also adding co2 to such a hot possibly muggy enviroment is asking for mildew an mold probs....peace az

FDD my boy says those temps are way to high and nutes are way strong the hotter it gets the more you have to delute the nutes,he says keep going with plain water untill new growth and I was right the leaves will not flatten back out.the damage is done to those leaves. PH2

What else would it be Fdd? Im not going to say it's a heat issue for sure but what usually happen to leafs when they become dry and brittle. They curl. Keep that AC on

Saw on ultimate grow that they can do that when theres not enough co2 around the leaves..?

Yes this sounds about right, the heat has done this. I find with the higher temps, it is drying out faster therefore using up more water and nutes. I would let it dry right out if you just flushed it (if not flush it, lol) and next water just do like 1/4 of the nutes, see what happens.
PS. I hate thirps, I had an infestation once. They suck.

we had temps in the 90 -100 degree range for week. my room was reaching 91 degrees at some point throughout the days. in the past week i have lowered my temp to 65 - 80 degrees. humidity is 35 - 50%. my temps get lower everyday now but the leaves seem to be getting worse.

i was feeding heavy veg AND bloom nutes up to the last 2 waterings. the last 2 waterings have been straight water. they still seem to be getting worse.

i have raised my lights about 5 inches in the past 4 days. they still seem to be getting worse. it started with the plants furthest away from the light.


it appears to be heat stress to me.

Did the heat spike for a few days then go back down? That shock may have done it no?.

the heat has been spiking for 2 weeks now. two days ago the highs were in the low 80's. today we were in the high 90's. one night it will be warm all night, like in the mid 70's. the next night it will cool off to 50. i'm somewhat coastal so the fog effects us a lot. the outside temps effect my inside temps.

the thing that got me is it was in the 100's about 10 days ago. they were fine then. they didn't start showing heavy effects until the temps cooled. it was cool for 4 days or so and this in when it appeared the worst. i was sure it was heat stress but the fact that it appeared worse as the temp dropped is what confuses me.

Yes it is confusing eh? Hhhmmm. So you just giving them plain ph'd water right now then? And raise the light a bit?

yes. i water every third day or less. i gave them their second watering of plain water last night. i raised my light about 4 inches or so 2 days ago.

Wish I would have seen this post a lot sooner---As you had already answered your own question before you even got started. Many great replies from all the posts---The reason your leafs curled like that was there attempt to conserve h2o--When your plants hit 90 deg or more for any extended period respiration/photosynthesis/ and all primary functions of the plant come to a screeching halt-the leaf fold and roll themselves inward to minimise light and heat exposure and reduce h20 loss-since you have corrected the heat issue all your new growth will be normal as long as the plants stay under the 85 temp range-Since this is a type of stress you can apply stress measures to help the plants out-----add B1 to your feed and at lights out give them a very dilute(1/4 strength seaweed foliar spray) your plants will be back close to 100% in a week.

If your plants die---------------I didn't say shit!!!

That is all you can do for now I believe, just wait it out for a few more days and keep a close eye on them. Are the temps stable now in the room? Can you maintain it at a decent temp?

The only thing I can add is about the leaves not going back. I have a huge plant under a screen inside and it did the same thing a few weeks ago due to high temps from light to close and cold nights.

It's all str8 now but the effected leaves never recovered. This was also in veg not flower. It's probably alot harder to scope the new growth when that far into flower. On a side note some may think to add more fans when it is hot but like someone posted earlier. It just moves the hot air around and can actually make it "hotter" because of the convection effect.

this building stays really cool for what and where it is. the roof has about 20 layers of shingles and tar. when i moved into it i added the metal roof. there is an "attic" space between the two roofs with the ends being open so it ventilates very well. the problem is i have one wall with double doors that aren't insulated inside. all the other walls are sheetrocked and insulated. the wall with the uninsulated doors is the wall that gets the hot afternoon sun. i think i need a bigger awning.





so my flower room is within this room. i draw air from within the room. i do this because it stays VERY cool in here compared to the outside. when it's 100 outside i can have this room stay below 80 just by a few tricks i have, no AC. when i plug in the AC i can cool it as cold as i want. it has a wood floor on dirt. i think that and the roof help cool it. i also exhaust into the same room. i have never thought of exhausting outside. i don't see why i couldn't. simple hole in the wall and some ducting. i think i don't do this because of noise issues. my neighbors garage is right next to me. they play basketball in the driveway a lot. you can already hear the fan.
