Maybe I should have put this post in the OP, but I can't edit the first post anymore. Because the following post in quotes explains the OP a bit more, it's what I meant by using the swastika as protection/saving lives. Go watch the movie "John Rabe" which has this scene in the movie:
""There was a scene in the German Film "John Rabe" where Rabe helps unroll a huge Nazi flag while the Japanese planes are strafing them, and uses it to cover the Chinese workers in his business, and the Japanese planes stop attacking them... That's using the swastika for protection..."
That movie was based off John Rabe's diaries.

As far as being a bigot, I'm 1/2 Chinese, 1/4 Japanese, and 1/4 Native Hawaiian, I was born and raised in Hawaii, which is the most racially/ethnically diverse place in the world, most locals here are mixed race/ethnicity. How in the world can anyone living in Hawaii be a bigot?
Obviously you've never lived here or you would know that.

Try spelling Israel Kamakawiwo'ole or better yet, try pronouncing it. Hell, my favorite football player in the late 1990's was local boy running back Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala (yeah I know he's not Hawaiian, he's Samoan), but it was a great joy hearing mainland announcers struggle to pronounce his name correctly. Hawaiian, Samoan and Polynesian names in general aren't really that hard to pronounce in that if you just pronounce every vowel, in general you'lll be okay.

Regarding your second point, wow, you really know how to kill the spirit of things, LOL!
At any rate, the Chinese thought enough of John Rabe that even until this day, he is still considered a saint because of the people he saved. When he fell on hard times financially after the war, and the people of Nanking found out about it, they would send him care packages of food and money and in fact, the mayor of Nanking flew all the way to Berlin to to try to help Rabe.
