Should I use 1 23w CFL or 2 13w bulbs?

I have a bunch of 23 watt cfl bulbs, but they are 5000k. I was thinking of getting some 13w 6500k bulbs and splitting them, since 6500k supposedly is the better light, and I can get them pretty cheap. Forget about the color for a sec, is there any difference between 1 23w and 2 13w split? I know it's probably a silly question, but I keep hearing how the intensity is important, so maybe the higher intensity of a 23w is better for the plants?

Move up and get 55w bulbs, you can get them at wally world or local lighting supply.

Then you only need 4-6 for decent crop.

the more efficient as of Watts per Lumens are the 23-26W CFLs. 55W and over can get your temps up there in a breeze. The only downside is the positioning of a lot of little CFL's (23/26) but it would be more efficient.

55W will put out more heat and watts to lumens is poor. i agree with md97, 23-26watts. i got 10 23watts and 4 42watts. but i run 6500k veg and 2700k flower. lots of ppl use mixed for both veg/flower.

I use 6x 23W on 0.375 sq. meter (4 sq. feet) fully reflected area. The plants seem to enjoy it (using 2700 K only, since growing autoflowering)
