Problem getting worse help PLZ

i made a post earlier got nothing out of it and the problem seems to be getting worse it started with just yellow tips then it went to edges , now im seeing some canoeing going on not really hardcore but slightly . ive thought a few possibilities out. one i may have over watered , (because this is my first auto growing it right in a 5 gal from seed its hard to manage the watering when im use to starting my plants out in solo cups then transplanting) , i also feel like it can be some kind of deficiency its only 15 days old though.. i also feel maybe heat. because i am useing a tone of Cfls my temps stay round mid 80s but my blue berry seedling seems fine ... i struggled with fungus gnats so i have a layer perlite ontop of soil. it was MG perlite and had nutes but the NPK value was extremely low . also when i had the gnats i sprayed the plant with 3% hydrogen peroxide 1 table spoon to a gal of water as well as watered with it

NUTES. FFBB FFTB.i only used the big bloom today to try and solve my issue thinking it might need its first feeding at 1/4th strength
PH 6.5 7 ish

FFOF only feeds for two weeks so its about that time but you definitely wanna get some Grow Big. Big bloom doesn't exactly have much in it for veg. You also wanna get your temps down about 10 degrees. Mid 80s isn't doing you any favors.

IMO looks like nute burn, being that young. I have had problems in the past using MG Perlite that it has time released nutes. Try a fly strip hanging and cedar mulch instead of the perlite, has helped control the gnats ;)

Get some mosquito dunks to control the gnat problem, they lay eggs on the roots and will continue to do so, as for the browning,its most likely burn from the pretreated soil. Try using roots organic or something like that next tme

Ocean Forrest is organic. The soil is not burning the plants.

The dont need to be "fed" yet. You are over fertilizing.

FFoF IS, infact, Organic soil.
NewB is over feeding, like we all did overzealous in attempt to make our first grow flourish.
And "Enough to feed for the first two weeks" is not a FF evaluated statement, that is an observation.
And as we all know as observation is based in perception, and perception is subjective...
That is not a CONSTANT. Just for the observer, in the context of the situation observed.
IE, several variables *genetics not being the least of these* can contribute to varied growth.

In Summation: Stay on RO water for the next week or three and she will perk up :D

im not over ferting because i only fed once after the yellowing had already started, it went on for like 3 days then i said fuck it i can figure it out the ph was fine everything was fine. so i gave it a tiny bit of foxfarm big bloom , and big bloom is only 0.01 0.3 0.7 i did a tea spoon to a gal one time over the whole grow, so i wouldnt call me a newb ive grown perfectly fine many times, this just happens to be my first auto grow

my issue arose from the MG perlite i removed the top layer i had down for gnats and flushed and it doesnt seem to be burning anymore

Just because the soil is organic doesn't mean the nutrient content isn't too high for the little plants.
And adding the MG perlite to already hot soil just made things worse. As miko has already stated.

Miko- MG perlite is hot enough to burn plants alone. RIU member Canned Abyss(creator of black creek gardens Spyder) burned his entire F2 or F3 generation of auto Spyders. Using MG perlite in place of the internet bought one he had used before.
He didn't check the nutrient content of it and nearly killed a whole generation.

Personally i killed 16 plants in the same grow because i couldn't get FFoF down.
It's not the easiest thing to work with.IMO


Just a suggestion:
Try something a little more Inert when you transplant. CocoGro, Sunshine Mix #4(no-burn formula)....
This way you can start to nute them.

Or look for a nutrient kit that does not require pH adjustments like General Organics.

see thats what messed me up i even posted on here b4 using the perlite if it would hurt my plants cuz it had nutes in and everyone told me it was fine due to the extreamly low NPK. but im sure it was that now

I haven't read the package myself. I have only read that a few growers and breeders stopped using the MG brand perlite for that reason.
It could be a mix of you adding the perlite and feeding the one time. just may have been a little much total for the plant to handle.

Anyways, good luck. and be sure to come update us on the progress. :)

Thanks bud, yeah the NPK is like 0.0# i dont have bag on me now but it is really low but im pretty sure that is what did it because it seems after the flush n taking it away new growth isnt turning yellow or brown. im going to go to hydro shop for Gognat for any gnats that might still b around after taking the perlite away.

i dont like/use MG products. ive never heard anything good (when it comes to cannabis); only bad things. so i avoid MG all together. FFOF is ok when mixed with FF light warrior, but you will need to feed about 2-3wks into veg, and inevitably battle the gnat problems associated with their products. i use a PURE coco medium mixed with PURE chunky perlite, PURE vermiculite, beneficial bacteria/enzymes, and an ammended subcool super soil organic nutrient formula (allow to "innoculate" 5-6wks before using). only requires ph adjusted water from start to finish (except molasses during flower). however, i use a coco medium with organic nutes for veg, then transplant into super soil for flower.. AMAZING RESULTS

..also running dwc organic hydroponics: full line organic hydroponic nutes, pure chunky perlite medium in net cups, glass micro bubble airstones in food grade bpa free 5gal buckets (dwc setup) with vapor distilled water.. also amazing results but VERY stinky hydro reservoir

also just started cloning in a smaller "custom" dwc setup with neoprene inserts. i put the clone in the neoprene sponge, then place the sponge into a pre-drilled hole in my res lid (smaller res holds about a gal of distilled water with one drop superthrive and normal dose of Bvitamins and has a micro bubble airstone at the bottom); the bottom tip of the "snip" hangs below the sponge about an inch or so, right into the top of the bubbling water. getting roots in a few days; can be transplanted into any type of medium, or hydro system..

I was responding to the person who suggested he use organic soil.

But I still stand by what I said about it not causing "nutrient burn". I have grown plants from seed and cutting in FFOF and never once had a single issue with nutrient burn. I just cant believe that the soil is the problem.

I doubt its the perlite either. You are feeding you plants on top of the nutrients present in the soil & perlite. THAT is the problem.

Give your plants plain water.

MY PLANTS ARE NOT BEING FED lol man it was stated its not over feeding cause im not feeding , i gave my jack a little bit of big bloom but my blueberry is burning too and its only 5 days old hasnt been fed at all its in FFOF and the Perlite was ontop that was it so tell me how im over feeding. they are being fed Plain water, and yes ive grown in just ffof with no issues as well...as i stated earlier i posted my grow log of bubba pappay my diesel and short ryder they grew in ffof and where harvested in it no issue. the only thing different from my last grow to this grow is the setup space , the fungus gnats , and the perlite. everything else stayed the same , im even using the same exact CFLS
