Drying and smoking sugar leaves

Hi all, newbie here, I've learnt loads from the threads on here so thanks. I'm wondering why everyone gets rid of the sugar leaves, my 1st garden grow had Trichomes all over te sugar leaves, just took the sun leaves off for drying, bout ready for curing now but very tempted to leave the sugar
Leaves on for reasons above, any reason why this isn't common practise??

I give it away to friends who make butter or hash, by the time I'm done trimming I don't want anything to do with it....

Leave them on, people only remove them for hash or bag appeal. You can leave them on and smoke them.

Anything full of trichomes I try not to trim 'too' much of.. the rest, fan leaves and all, I give to a buddy who uses it in part of his 'blend'.. We grew up together in the later 60's and 70's (and recently reunited on da internetz) and the cat has smoked MUCH worse.. ha.. he get's some bud too, but he LOVES the shake/leaves and that's cool. If I didn't have anything else I would love em too..

I left them on on a couple plants last time.
You open the jars and it smells weird.
The leaves crumble off and the buds smell great.
I save them and will make hash with them, but it will not be great quality. You want to freeze trimmed leaves wet to get the full melt.

Do you freeze immediately after the trim, or brown bag it for awhile? I froze mine fresh last time and it came out a little green on me.

I think ink I may have been a little over zealous while mixing.

For some reason sugar leaves have a bad rap. It might be because they contain chlorophyl so if the grower doesn't do a proper slow-dry and cure the smoke can be harsh. Certainly harsher than the bud. However, I do a slow-dry and cure, and even my sugar leaves are a smoother smoke than most street weed.

I do a nice trim and separate the bud from the sugar leaves. I have limited drying space and originally was going to try making hash, so I throw my trim in freezer bags in the freezer. Bu I discovered I suck at making hash. So now, after the bud is in the jars, I take the trim out of the freezer and slow-dry as much as possible, then jar that separately.

I will usually vape the trim, but honestly I've also smoked it and it's been just fine. Not as high quality as the bud, but it's the equivalent of drinking table wine most nights and saving the better bottle of wine for a dinner party. I'm happy with table wine, and I'm happy with smoking my trim.

If I trim, I put them in the freezer wet. The color of the hash doesn't matter much, as long as it is full melt, I am happy.
Vaporized full melt hash is crazy. You can't even tell you took in a hit, until you blow it out and it tastes like flowers.

I might be done trimming and therefore done with full melt hash.

I leave my sugar leaves intact but I'm a personal stash guy so I don't really give a shit about how it looks. I did just order the Magical Butter machine this past weekend so I will probably use the sugar leaves in it and then top it off with bud if need be.
