the REASON many get pissed off me , is after i see a member have multiple posts deleted i will personally kindly message them explaing that we dont tolerate their behaviour and give them options they can use like the ignore tool, or help them out.Not at all, no one deserves to be attacked.
Is there a chance that in cases like you are pointing out there will
be stricter rules and more warnings/infractions/bans to further discourage
people from thinking they can attack other members without penalty?
As we have many mentally ill people on riu (and no i dont mean that in a bad way) you need to handle situations carefully.
Generally i get no problem sorry, or something along the lines and they usually turn for the good
Some mods choose the delete and be silent approach and thats perfectly fine, discretion is awesome which is why we choose delete over edit most times
and some mods choose to speak to the user who is in the wrong and thats perfectly fine too
In this specific case, the user has an issue with the mods, not other users, so its not that big of a deal, in terms of being "stricter" with him we do have some measures we sometimes take in which we put their posts on "moderated" we have to approve everything they say before it goes on the board, its barely used though cause its a pain in the butt
we did have infractions which we dont use anymore we also have negative rep you'll hardly see us use that though
