The funny thing is I was just at dollar tree and they had a few dozen of those "topsy turvy" tomato planters. You like put the pot in it, it seals the soil in, then hang upside down. Was really tempted to get some to test.

I forgot about those things. That could be a viable option. LSTing upside down would be interesting. lol. I'll see what I'm working with next week. It's crazy that I have to see things to know how to best attempt some ingenuity.

You hit the nail on the head. It all comes down to if the tent can support it. I also thought about possibly reinforcing the frame. Again a next week project. lol.

EDIT: Can't wait til I can step up to a larger tent. Then I can put my space issues to rest.

It does look pretty cool, I'm not sure I found the one you were looking at jib, but I found a topsy turvy grow off. My only concern is how straggly they grow. It's definitely a cool concept, just not sure it's gonna be my best route with the limited space ya know? They gotta grow down first and then end up growing up which consumes more space. Luckily I have time to test things out so no rush really.

Sounds like you've been doing fairly well with precious Hannah. I'm glad it's going smoothly despite probably the lack of sleep.

That's about what I expected out of the task....short on soil by ohhhh I don't know...say half a batch. I realized this half way through. So what did I do....yea...skimmed from each of the prior. I was skimping soil from every one of them at the end. So I have to make time tomorrow to make the new batch before heading out to see my goddaughter and my best friend.

Funny how I came to going to visit her. My brother and I were shooting pool at the bar when she called. We're pretty close so she demanded to speak to my brother after speaking with me. Puerto Rican chic mind you so there are no requests just demands...lol. So I hand my phone to my brother and by the time it was done we had plans to go visit her. Cray how some good friends never skip a beat and hop right back to it as if you just saw each other yesterday.

Okay well enough rambling, let's get back on topic here. Plants, yea so not so hot on the start to soil so far, again my mistakes. But all recoverable I believe. They'll expand their roots while I'm gone and for the next week. Then I can add the proper amount of soil to each. Then I'm on my way to just watering and training. Also a fun note I'll be moving right about the last few weeks of flowering so this is gonna take hella coordination in the end. But that's a couple months away, I'll deal with it then.

So I've figured out why I was short on soil...dumbass seriously. I had two 26 gallon trash cans so I thought for some reason that I made two batches...ehhhhhhhh....wrong...lol. SO I mixed another batch tonight. Now I will have enough soil. Just have to wait a week. I'm gonna throw the little ones in it a little hot. I figure it shouldn't hurt they're rooted now. The real fun part is gonna be when I try to add more soil when I do add it.

I don't think I'll do it like the dude in the video that whodat posted...lol. I may just add it to the top. Roots will form below the soil line so I could take that route. Not sure yet. But I do know I have a few too many plants to deal with right now. Space is a serious issue...lol. I think the tent may need to go up just to force sex. Waiting for preflowers to show is gonna be a bitch. The way I'm set up right now vegging, I'm gonna have to lug each one, one by one, to the bathtub just to water. I don't have enough catch pans and I can't train very well with the way they are set up. So yea...issues to deal with but I'll get it figured.
 
So today marks day one of 11/12 for some of the babies. I tried the bare bulb setup. It's a no go. Temps got to 100. Cray. Went back to my old setup and they're setting at 90 for now until I have some time tomorrow to do some tweaking. I got one of each of my strains in there right now. Keep it diverse. lol
 
right on, im about ready to do a big run of them banana puffs,that was some of the best smoke ive had in a long time...yr round type smoke for me.

And smooth... you only got 23 hours in your growroom's days? That's wild, get more days in... harvest sooner. lol jk. Reminds me I read this crazy article somewhere on RIU where they were talking about doing 18/12 days, or something like that. Maybe it was 24/12, whatever, the idea was that the 12 hours of dark is the part necessary for flowering... so you could run longer days getting more light in per 'day'. I always thought it was interesting, and confusing.

yea,i remember that grow sure was a nice cut...I wanted a cut of that bad.did she have a banana smoothie exhale?
 
Never thought about it. I have like 2 grams left... private reserve. I'll pay attention next time I break it out.
