I have never done this before and have no clue what I am doing. lol :)

Stew, you don't need a vacuum chamber, only patience and a little heat. The trick with BHO is getting the solvent to evaporate as fast as possible right from the start. I find the BHO to be a lot easier and for the most part cleaner than ISO. And it is beyond quick.

For pure shatter that will pass the flame-test every time, what I personally do is:

Get stuff ready, fill tube with trim/bud whatever you are using. Place a PYREX glass bowl inside a big pot with hot water. Bring water to near boiling point. TAKE IT OUTSIDE. Do extraction right into the Pyrex bowl in the hot water, I have a respirator I use during this, but just staying upwind works great most of the time. Far as the extraction goes, as soon as butane starts dripping in let go and let it all run out, don't just keep spraying it through. Kinda 'dab' at it till you can see the amount of oily residue in the bottom is not increasing any longer, your source material is spent at this point.
Remove the bowl and put it down on a heating pad. It only needs to sit like this for a few hours AT MOST to be completely clean. It should scrape off the bowl as flakey crystals once it has cooled down. Makes this little crunchy sound as I scrape it. Don't scrape before it is cooled. Press the 'shards' together, a little bit of heat from your fingers should get it pliable enough to do that. Get a tiny bit on a pin and pass a flame under it. Crackling or sizzling or whatever like mentioned is NOT good. Not to worry if this is the case, it just goes straight back onto the heating pad. Should not be needed at all though, but dodgy butane can take a LONG time to purge completely.
Easy as chips.

I'm not one to trip on the law, but when you use solvents you start getting into a whole new legal territory. Manufacturing.

Sorry.... I guess it's only a California thing. You can legally make hash here with out solvents, but when you use Butane you can be charged with running a drug lab.

Before Bergen, prosecutors could charge butane hash oil producers — or "blasters" in industry slang — with operating a "drug lab" under section 11379.6 of the California Health and Safety Code. But defense attorneys could make a motion that blasters should be charged under the more specific "marijuana processing" statute listed in section 11358 of the California code.

First very glad to hear you had a clean product Beech I want a smoke report tonight after your done at work!

Now Heres a NTS I forgot to share with you guys.......


NTS- If you unhook your pump hose from your flood tray to clean and drain dirty water from the tray, unplug the pump so if you forget to hook the hose back up it doesn't pump 40 gallons of water onto your floor.

Ya I admitted to that stupid shit. Did it the other night, I got distracted, and first forgot to hook the pump hose back up to the tray. I closed up the room for the night thinking I was done, and went to back up stairs. Well I went down last night and noticed a little water under the edge of my wall near the drain. Got into my room to find a damp floor, and no water in my res :(. Thankfully I've got decent air flow,and drainage so there wasn't any standing water, or damage.

Beech you've seen my grow, and my dabs.......and you just asked me if I was high???????????

The last time I wasn't high was when I was in the hospital for my accident last year. First thing I did when I got home was have the wife pack a bowl of the Bubba Kush she had harvested while I was in. The painkillers were making me so sick the only way I could eat at all was to get real high. So glad all that is over!!

I'm sure I had been through the day, I honestly think it was mostly getting distracted with my wife while I was working that did it. I was not dabbin in my room or smoking though while I was working if thats what ya mean. If I smoke while I work its usually a joint, and I usually don't really do much work while its lit, just like to smoke with the plants some times :) extra CO2 right.

Well.... its a total different high for me!! The Taste will be my downfall, as I can see myself dippin into my best stuff now to make!
Yea,it taste incredible and is just too easy to make!
If I took a few zips of the Shoreline and made just topnotch extracts,I would take a LOSS.Its addictive the hole process!
