NL auto and Pineapple Express auto

Had a main stem break on me today on my NL when I was moving the plants around. They are at day 74 from seed, I was planning on letting her go a few more days, but when I tried to move the stem that was damaged, I damaged it more, so I decided, what the hell, cut the main stem and trim it, and let the rest of the plant go a few more days. This is the first time I've ever cut/trimmed bud in my life. Before now, all I've ever seen of weed in person was in a bag from a supplier. How did I do? I laid it on the scales and it came out at 1.85 oz. I know a lot of that is from the stem. Do y'all think I'll get a quarter or more from this piece of her? Thanks!

She dried out pretty quick. I cut all the buds away from the stem and it measured out about .40 oz. Comparing that to what's left on the rest of the plant, I should get an ounce dried total from that one plant. I can't be too upset with an ounce per plant on my first grow. I'm seriously considering chopping my PE tonight. I'm not sure if I'm seeing any amber or not. Everytime I think I do, it's on leave that has some browning, so I'm not sure if it's just shading. But, it's mostly cloudy. Breeder says 65-75 days from see. I'm on day 78 right now. I might just take the main cola and leave the rest. They've all swelled up so much that the stems can't hold em up.

So, for the first time ever, I've smoked weed that I have grown! It was frackin awesome! Last night I tried a very premature piece of the PE that I had let just sit on a speaker for a few days in my living room. For being harvested about a week too early, not properly dried and cured, she smoked awesome. Not harsh at all, and had a fruity aftertaste on the exhale. We smoked a really small bowl, probably 6-8 hits each, and it Fawked me up. Like, shit was slowed down and a bit hazy fawked up. I should not have driven. Not that I was reckless, but I kept thinking I had driven farther than I had, and I should be slowing down to turn a lot sooner than I needed to. For me, definitely a sit your stoned ass on the couch high.

Tonight, we smoked a small bit of the NL. This was from a stem that broke, about 2 weeks early and I went ahead and dried. She's been in the jar burping stage for about 3 days now. She had a nice earthy taste to her. Like the other, she was surprisingly smooth and the high we got was awesome. It was one of those that you don't even really realize your high until you notice how mellow you are. It took my galpal pointing out how mellow I was. I've never taken Valium, but from what I've heard, it's close to that. Everything was perfectly focused, I could think just fine, but I was soooo damn chill about everything. Where the other is going to be our sit on the couch and veg out smoke, this NL is going to be our, wake and bake and have to deal with asshats at work smoke.

I can only imagine how great these are going to be after I finally harvest the rest of the 2 plants and get a good dry and cure on them. For my first attempt at ever growing, I'm more than satisfied. I'm effin stoked. I'm so damn excited about how they turned out. So, far, I've gotten a .40 oz from one dried and .25 dried from the other. I'm guessing about 2.25 total dried from both plants combined. So, yea, super pleased, and still a little high as you can tell from my 3am rambling! Thanks for all the tips so far in my growing adventure, I'm ready to finish this harvest and get my next 2 seeds in the dirt!

So, I went ahead and put the chop on Penny, my Pineapple Express auto tonight(85 days from seed). I cut and trimmed, didn't bother with taking the wet weight. What you see in the pictures below is all of her minus a little more than a quarter oz (dried) that I took a week ago. Now she's hanging and I can't wait to get her final weight and get her jarred up!!! I tossed in some pics of her laid out and of her hanging. Also added some pics of her roots and the sugar leaves that I saved. What y'all think?

I'm hoping for a zip dried from what's hanging, that would give me 1 1/4 dried from that plant, which I'd be super stoked about for my first grow

Here's a few pics of what's left of my NL . They are at day 87 from seed. I harvested the main stem a couple weeks ago when I broke her. The breeder says 7-9 weeks of flower. If you figure 3 weeks before flower, that puts these past the 9 weeks of flower. If I'm not mistaken, these showed flowers before 3 weeks, so I'm good and past the 9 week period. I do know that breeder estimates are mostly for marketing purposes and realistically only attainable in lab conditions by pro growers. But, I think she's close. What I cut and smoked last week was really fluffy, I was checking the buds tonight and they are a lot more dense. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You were right! She dried really quick...Too quick for what I was thinking, but I went ahead and jarred her tonight. 1.25 oz dried...with the .25 I dried last week, that comes out to 1.5oz from my first plant. I'll probably chop the other plant this weekend. You can't imagine how excited I am about getting 1.5oz from my first plant. I've already dried about .5oz from the other plant so no matter what, my goal of 2 oz dried combined from both plants on my first try has been reached!!!

My PE was dried out enough to jar up tonight. I got right at 1.25oz. Add that to the .25 I dried out last week, that's an easy 1.5 oz. Actually, a little more if I was to count the little popcorn buds that I sampled and gave to a few friends to try out. Was too excited about my first grow/harvest to not let someone try it. Figured I'd toss a couple pics of what I jarred tonight.

i myself have just started a auto (im a complete newbie same as you) as my first crop well that died so this is my second grow !

It's a been a while since I updated. I've been drying and curing. I have my final numbers on my first grow. From my Pineapple Express, I ended up with 1.5oz dried and with my Northern Lights, I ended up with 2.2oz dried. That's a total of 3.7 ounces from 2 plants, under CFLs with MG nutes. I'm very pleased with that for my first grow!

yeah you will love the hps my friend, i'd really recommend starting with 600w. I am planning some things, check out my journal in the following few weeks/months it should be pretty epic :)

Thanks alot! The bagseeds hermied on me, so i just scrapped em. I guess I should say these two were my first harvest, not grow! lol
