And no real world experience outside academia, what are you basing that on? Like any other people, professors are free to experience life as they choose when they are not at work. I was only trying to make one point. Someone said Lincoln was a republican as if it was relevant to the republicans of today. I pointed out that the goals of the party during his time in politics were pretty much a 180 from their platform today.

No, I"m not calling your profs liars, I'm saying they have a different perspective from their ivory towers. I"m also saying you are ignoring the very long racist history of the democratic party that still goes on today.

ALL parties have expanded government power just as Franklin said they would.

To pretend racism only exists in one party is either being dishonest or the height of stupidity. Some of the most racist people I have ever met work in the union shops in MI. Talk about people bitchin about AA. Any black that gets hired or promoted is faced with that stigma. Those union guys don't generally vote republican.

And to address your other statement about me ignoring racism. You actually liked a post or two of mine calling them out. We all smoke pot here so I'll forgive your lack of memory.

I would truthfully prefer a white supremacist or black panther type who ruled on the bases of equal laws for all men than somebody who pretends to not be racist but rules on the basis that some people need help that others don't based on skin color, those are the truly harmful racist fucks. I don't care about their religion either as long as they don't govern by it. You can worship unicorns for all I care as long as you don't force me to worship them too.

Obama's female staff makes 67% on average of what men on his staff make. So he is either a do as I say not as do guy, or he has a glass ceiling for women. Hypocrite much?

BTW, it was pointed out that McCain's female staffers made 20% more than Obama's when that law was signed, but you guys seem to give our Pres a pass no matter what. Afraid of being called racist?

cool, so he's been pressured to be a tad more fair than he was when he signed the bill, that's progress. Maybe some day he'll even see them as totally equal instead of 87% equal. Considering the Valerie Jarretts on his team that are making bank, the rest of the women must surely be peons in his eyes.

But hey, at least he signed a bill. We never had any kind of equal rights or civil rights in this country before then.
