Looking good in there, agree with the tag switch, they can change but you can see whats going on there. This cheese I just started popped the fattest lil indica leaves so there is no denying that one. As far as the feeding goes I guess it depends how comfortable you are with it. I usually wait a week just because I use soil and there are some goodies in there for them to eat up, in coco if I am not mistaken you are basically doing hydro in a container because you water and feed so much since it is so airy. Proven by the fact that you are watering 2 times a day. When I started this space bomb I am growing now that thing got hungry fast, did not even start on its 2nd set of leaves before it was showing P def. So if it was me I would give them half strength of something just to get em used to it but if you are alright with just giving them some Calimagic then keep on keeping on just thought I would drop my line on it since I just had probs not that long ago in the early stage of my grow.

Thanks, been thinking 2 a day might be to much. Don't want to over water them. Cut it back to 1 a day when I get home from work. I've read you can't over water coco, and even when you flood them on a reg basis there is plenty of o2 due to the nature of coco. Might start a week early and start feeding them at 1/4 strength and see how they react in about 2 days. Want to get the voodoo juice in there early to get a some good Bennie growth. So far there doing good as far as I can tell. Lifted the light because on 2 of the seedlings I got some brown edge on the new leaf tips. Or maby its just the illusion from the led. other than that, So far so good.

Yeah a good wet/dry cycle is vital for healthy root development, not that coco gets super water logged but under LED you still have to be careful because the plants do not transpire nearly as much as under an HID thereby reducing your water usage. Not super familiar with AN, looked at em when I first started growing but I did not like the idea that I needed 12 different products to maximize my harvest. But that voodoo juice does not seem like a bad idea just to get there roots going. Not really sure how the bennies in that stuff survive the mineral derived nutes since I always thought the salt in the stuff killed you microbial life but I do not have a PHd or nothing, just read that chelating salts are death to microbes. Could be wrong though, not saying you should not try it since the product description says good with hydro.
That browning you saw could totally be PAR burn, I had it real bad on some seedlings of mine 2 grows ago, shit comes on quick. Looks kinda like a Ph problem or burn but def try raising your lights and see how they react. Funny how with LED if you put them too close the lil leaves are just taking in to many photons and can not take it. Your light seems more purple than magenta so obviously more blue than red and blue photons carry more energy (takes less to get a 2000 u/mol reading) so it is easier to overdose them with a heavy blue spectrum. Sorry for rambling kinda got off on a tangent. Keep it green

Need to get dehumidifier also as when I switch into flower during lights off humidity jumps to like 70%. Would a 25 pint soleus air be enough for a 5x5x8? Trying not to generate to much heat and this soleus air is really compact. It has a auto restart so it should work with my sentinel controller. Tried looking for analog ones but there too big.

Think the 25 pint would have a low heat footprint, anything bigger might be too much without the use of an ac or more fans. Need to know if 25 pints is big enough to keep humidity in check in a 5x5x8?

If heat is that big a concern, you could put the new device outside the
tent and duct the air in/out of it. I have done with with humidifiers, but
not dehumidifiers.

Good luck,

JD

Not too worried with heat just don't want to add anymore than have to. My tent hits 77.5 and sentinel cycles the max fan and drops ambient temp in tent back down to 75 in about 3.5 mins. Raises in about 10 mins and cycles again. I'm sure it won't be a problem gonna hold off Maby I can use the other maxfan and have it kick on when humidity gets too high.

Ok said fuk it and ran about 4 gals of r/o, ph'd to 5.8 and added 5ml per gallon of voodoo juice and they have responded very well. There really starting to grow :-)

Temp 75-78.5f
Ph 5.8
Rh 58/high 60's
ppm 90 (500 scale)

Have led's running 24/7 thinking may drop to 18/6 as soon as I get a light timer. 18/6 is a good veg cycle? I usually run 24/7 but trying to be as efficient as possible. Any input would be appreciated thanks....

If you want to save dough, then 18/6 will work fine.

This is as much light, and more, than outside will get where we live.
(as PPayne pointed out using the Farmer's Almanac ;0)

I was using 20/4 but switched to 18/6 recently. I did this in part because
I added a new T5 Veg light and am now using about 300W for Veg, including
the box fan.

Light needs vary with breeds, and I expect will affect land races most, as
they are most likely to have specific environmental needs.

Good luck,

JD

Ok cool need to get a light timer, as I'm running both those 1200w led's and there actual pull is like 720 a piece, so about 1400 true watts and thinking it gonna hit my power bill pretty hard. So cutting a few hours would save me. Thanks will have to look into that farmers almanac.

They should show pre flowers on 18/6? Or is that only 12 as I understand.

They have almost doubled in size, almost zero stretch as the lights are about 3ft above plants. theres def something to these leds, can't wait to flower with these things hopeing they can replace my 1k hps ;-)

Roots from the bluedream, phantom cookies, and whitewidow have also hit the bottom of the propagation air pots and are shooting out everywhere :-) is this normal for only 5 days?

Cleaned shop and set up my plant lab lol feel like a mad scientist muhuahahahahah.

Got the digital timer set 18/6 going to be there 1st night time hope they don't stress too much.

Went and also got a kdf filter to replace the standerd green carbon one that comes with the stealth ro. Should get rid of chloramine and other goodies that the standard wasn't.

FYI sorry for posting every detail I blame it on my a.d.d/o.c.d o_O

Dude....two words and you are gone: tissue culture.

LOL, but seriously, it would not surprise me in the least, as you
are quite well rigged. I have made clean cultures of fungi and
might try this myself some time, as I have most of the materials.

Good luck,

JD

Lmao off, no tissue cuts at the moment. Read an article on tissue culture, hundreds of clones from a single sample. Sounds very interesting but also looked very complicated. Very futuristic. May try sometime down the road but for know my hands are tied. And definitely be something to add to the resume.

Have some leaf curl or twist on one of the og kush's, thinking it might be light stress or something of that nature due to the 18/6 switch. Other than that there all kicking. Cant wait to get some mothers so I can run from clone. Seedlings take to long :O

Also took one of the led's out. 2 I think is a little over kill for veg. Going to hang it back up when I go into flower.

Tested the runoff, not sure if I'm doing it correctly, sucked the runoff up and put in plastic bottle check ppm and ph this is what I got:

Ph 6.5
Ppm 510

Am I doing this correctly? Just been feeding with voodoo juice and r/o. Ppm is 20 and ph has always been 5.8. runoff seems kind of high, Maby it was the calimagic I gave them for about 5 days at 3ml a gallon. They look healthy just never really checked runoff before any insight would be greatly appriciated thanks.

Ok did some reading and came to the conclusion i needed to flush with 0.0 ec water to bring it down to around what i was putting in it. Already had some mixed with just voodoo juice and r/o phd at 5.8. From what i read ph is not really a concern as much as the ppm/ec is in the runoff. I think all the calimagic waterings i was doing built up in the coco. I also should be allowing more runoff, as i was only hand feeding until some started coming out of the bottom. What alarmed me was that the runoff was starting to get darker and darker, sort of looked like coffee.

Flushed the coco until i got my ec down to about .2. These are seedlings and 510 ppm was a little high for my liking. Still new to this whole coco thing and hopefully i am doing it right. After flush plants seemed to pray at the led lol. Im gonna start checking runoff more often and keep it around what im putting in. Also going to start using some h&g drip clean to leach excess salts that may be lingering and to keep the medium clean. Always learning something new hopefully im grasping it.... If not feel free to enlighten me

Ok well looks like there getting hungry, roots are exploding. So I mixed up a batch of An 3 part at 4ml per gal, added 4ml per gal of b52. Alredy has voodoo juice. Will be feeding once there pots dry a little.

Ec 0.5
Ppm 230
Ph 5.6
Water temp 68
Rh 53.5%
Rtemp 75f

If I notice any burn will be mixing in more r/o to drop ec. Going to be doing feed, feed, water to keep runoff in check.
