Critters have been known to eat buds.where i live i dont have to worry about people trying to steal my bud or the pigs coming around here. no one dares to walk around in the mountains here at night with all the bear, coyotes, cougars, wolves and shit like that roaming the mountains
No, you need to ventilate the room. Otherwise the humidity will build up and stop drying.i guess im gonna have to seal off a room as best as i can to dry them in there
i recently put up a 110V electric fence around my plants to protect them against the animals. i have it a 4 ft radius around my plant and my other plants i was able to move since they werent planted in the ground. as goes for the bugs i have yet to see any on my plants which was really niceCritters have been known to eat buds.
what if i took the door off and put poly where the door was and one fan blowing in the room and another fan blowing out of the room like 2 12 inch fansNo, you need to ventilate the room. Otherwise the humidity will build up and stop drying.
the room ill be drying in is roughly 6'x15' and the room next to it was an old kitchen thats is roughly about 20 - 25. i would like to try and keep the smell contained to at least 1 room of the house if possibleCould work, as long as the other room has a window or two.....dont know if that size if fan will be suitable, depends on size of your space and plants and humidity. Why not just take the door off.....crack a windoe and have both fans in the room (not blowing directly on plants) why bother with the poly? the smell?
can the light also cause molding to the buds?I trim everything at harvest, it's much easier because the leaves are all sticking straight out. Takes waay longer once they are wilted over the buds. I take off the fan leaves, then with smaller clipper shape all the way down to the buds.
THC can degrade in the light, thus keeping it in the dark
trimming the leaves before is a lot easier as obijohn has said but the trimming is really up to you. i prefer to trim before i start to hang dry them.Do you guys trim all the leaves before or after you dry/ which ones?
Why is it important to cure/dry in the dark?
Fiskars micro tip pruning scissors. They're about $10-$12 at most any hardware store in the gardening section.for sure, what kind of clippers do you guys get, I tried trimming a bud i pulled early with regular scissors and ended up taking off stuff i didn't want to take off
