Ben Carson is one of the best brain surgeons this world has ever seen. It wasn't the government that helped Ben become a better student, it was his mother forcing him to read and do extra homework. He went to a mostly all white school. That wasn't easy for a black kid several decades ago.

Ben Carson is proof that a lot of times, public education alone does NOT work. If his education was not joined with a strong parental figure in his life, then he would not be the person he is today. His mother got involved in education after realizing it does NOT take a village to raise a child. It takes a strong family structure. YOU FAIL on your first point.

Ben Carson was was an exceptional student long before any affirmative action. Why can't you accept the fact that his brilliant mind got him ahead in life? Was it affirmative action that led his research on separating conjoined twins? No it was not. YOU FAIL POINT #2
