Technically I now study jeet kun do as the philosophy of all arts. Kung Fu is pretty showy, But, in real martial arts there are no rules. And jeet kun do is based in Wing Chun but, uses anything and everything. It includes Kav Magra, Pressure points, Bataireacht, western boxing, Gracie Judo, and anything else to include in the END IT, library of pain.Damn if someone wants to be good at fighting why of all things would they study kung fu
It just makes no sense.
The roots of Martial Arts is not Kung Fu, it is Kalaripayattu, in India, Pankration, from Greece. And interestingly Bataireacht from Ireland has such unique techniques for stick, especially, it too, I consider as the only other real basis for all Martial Arts.
BTW, don't try the Sicilian Kiss, the head butt on me...easy to defend and it will hurt you. All martial art is Defense First. Don't get head butted or Muy Tai clenched. You do that first and be aware of the many other tricks.
Thanks for the Bare Knuckle idea. I will look at that.
This is the Achilles heel of the MMA guys. The Rules. They shoot those takedowns only because the opponent is not allow to handle that the way I do.
