2nd Auto Run! Pineapple Express & Critical + 2.0

Hey everyone! This is my 2nd indoors attempt for an auto grow. My 1st run was a fail (due to some unexpected circumstances that led to certain financial issues). I have to admit, I am a newb to indoor growing. Also, I appreciate any and all of your comments as they are building blocks of knowledge to come. Since my last endeavor I have saved up the money to purchases a few things. I just purchase a grow tent 4x4x6.5 and have trasfered all my lighting and equipment for this run of PE & Crit. + 2.0. I germed 5 of each. Lost one 2.0 and 1 of the PE isn't looking to hot? My biggest concern right now is controlling the heat problem I have going on. At the momen I'm only running a 4' 6 tube T5 ( plan on running a 600 watt HPS soon) but it is kicking off some "killer" heat. I opened my tent this morning to 91 degrees (WOW!). The plants def took a hit over night with the high temps (hope they come back). I really don't know what else to do to help control this heat. Today I have left the tent and my door open to help lower the temp. It's down to 81 degrees F/ Humidity @ 52%. Any advice or thoughts from experienced growers would be greatly appreciated as I am in need of a little help...

good luck bro, your autos would almost be done now :(, i see u saw my pics , a week or two from harvest.

Yea bro, yours are looking real sweet! So jealous, lol :weed: Keep it up dude!! Can't wait to see what you get off those! You wouldn't happen to have any tips for trying to control the heat in a tent, would ya?

I'm a noob too but I use a 600w hps andiI'm about to harvest my 2nd grow, I'm not sure how much heat.comes of cfl lights but a 600w hps is bloody hot!! I'm growing in a 3ft wide 6ft long and 6ft high grow room and I've had some serious issues with heat on my last attempt but I hooked up an RVK 125mm fan and filter for this time and my temps kind of leveled off at around 26-29 degrees.

Is you grow tent measured in feet?
In my opinion if you have 8 plants growing in that space I think u will probably run out of room....mine have been wall to wall for weeks and seriously squashed lol GL mate and keep updated!

In my opinion if you have 8 plants growing in that space I think u will probably run out of room....mine have been wall to wall for weeks and seriously squashed lol GL mate and keep updated!

Yee beaves, my tent is 4 ft x 4 ft x 6.5 ft. I am strictly running autos and I planned on potting 9 in 3.5 gallon pots

Personally I think 9 is over kill for the space you have, it's just my opinion tho and I guess it's down to how big they grow. Mine are averaging around 35 inches high and I have 7 on the go which is way to much for the room I have! Have you got an inline fan for extraction?

I agree with beaves about the space. I have a slightly smaller setup 3 x 3 x 5.25 and I only have two full size plants in there. Granted I could squeeze some more in there but it would be really tight and they would be competing for light. That said, I'm not running a scrog and haven't lst'd them at all, so if you did those you could get some other plants in there but 9 might be over the edge.

lst'd to a flat canopy is super tight in 2.5 gal's
2 akr's take up half my box roughly

and 6 are touching on all sides
not enough air flow honestly

Also what I've learnt these last 2 grows is that a 600w isn't quite sufficient for 9 plants, I grew 10 last time in the same setup and to be honest I had a few to many, I'd probably say 100w per plant is about right if not maybe a bit more. Like I said I done 7 this time and their competing for light badly

Yea, I have an inline fan/ filter combo. Its a 440 or 460 cfm? I also have an intake 165 cfm fan and an oscillating fan. Was thinking about picking up a clip fan or 2 also.

Their still looking nice Tek! Just curious but what are you growing in that pic? What do you expect off of a crop coming from the size of your set up?

in soil less around a oz - oz+ per gal of container space usually from my experience
they where afghan kush ryders from world of seeds grown like 10 of them lately but grew them when they first came out and i didnt like them but they are so much different now IMO

usually i have 8 going staggered ages plant a bean a every 2 weeks roughly then i always have one in flower pretty much and pull 2-3 oz
under a 400w HPS and 235w of led every couple of weeks those afghans were babies compared to what they look like in a 2.5 gal
i have alot cramed in a small space now i had 13 auto's in various size cups and containers have a breeding attemp going
i have half my box as a scrog now have a purple haze #1 that has been vegging for a while now 6 months or so

Nice Tek! I would love to see that purple haze when she's done! Be sure to post some pics of that beauty :weed: Currently I have an order on the way for a 600 watt HPS system, but I just hope the heat doesn't become to much of an issue. I'm having a little issue with temps now and I only have a T5 (4' 6 tube) I have an inline fan/ filter combo. Its a 440 or 460 cfm? I also have an intake 165 cfm fan and an oscillating fan. Was thinking about picking up a clip fan or 2 also. Just worried that I might be stuck leaving my tent door open with a fan blowing in to keep the girls cool?
