Hey OP,
There's a great guerrilla grow sticky in one of these rooms. I do indoor hydro, but when I read it I knew I would follow it to a T if I choose to grow outside at some point.
Sorry you got clobbered -- there are a lot of really experienced people here who have seen really horrible things happen to parents and grandparents of younger growers who have to deal with the fallout of a bust. They love you and love their life with you, and to see you taken away in handcuffs out of the bedroom you grew up in and their reputations and financial stability put at risk all because you weren't actually mature enough to ask them if you could do it first would be heartbreaking to them. If you think if you'd ask them they'd say no, then in your heart you know you can't do it in their house.
But I think you've got the picture and will look outside. It's so much cheaper and safer. It's all about picking the right spot, and that sticky should help you. It would be great to see you post your experience beginning with finding a spot, so please announce it in a thread when you're ready and I'll subscribe.

Lol okay y'all, enough with the guilt! Igot the point a while back, I've already decided against it so y'all don't have to say no more.. I'm keeping an eye out for a guerrilla spot, there's this field out back that the mayor of my town owns and they have it fenced off with the Bamboo from our yard (they're bastards that didnt even ask) so I was thinkin about snooping around back there to see if there's any good little spots, the only prob is that there's tractor traffic back there daily, but they have trails and follow their paths so I may be able to find a spot discrete enough! But if not ill just try to target a somewhat non privately owned but government or public place so that no one will get in trouble for it.. And since it's October and late in the year, ill prob have to wait for spring to roll around..

Bro, trust me when I say that we all appreciate your change in venue, however a field that the mayor of your town owns is definately not where you want to grow lol, especially if theres people that work in the vacinety. No offence, but were you really serious about that one? Guerrilla grows are conducted in vacant wooded areas, preferably miles away from the public. Its good that you've made a change in your plans but I promise you that if you plant your shit in the mayors' field, your gunna get caught, and then you and your grandparents are gunna end up going through what we were trying to prevent in the first place. I know you were just throwin' something out there, but doing that kind of thing is a sure fire way of getting yourself locked up with additional charges tacked on. Just reading your above comment, I take it that you probably live in a small town with no substantial wooded areas, and if that's really the case then you need to get in your car and go find yourself a spot, even if its 20 miles away. The cost of gas wont be any more money than it would cost you to do an indoor grow. No one wants to see you or anyone else end up in jail or have their lives ruined, so please, be intelligent in regards to your cultivation endeavors and don't act on inpulse or eagerness. Ok well It was just a thought thrown out there and I haven't done much research or reading about outdoors growing, let alone guerrilla growing so ill spent a couple months planning out my decisions. Thanks for the look out yall

Yeah ill check out those pages I skipped in my books about out door and guerrilla growing, ill check out that section of the forum when I get some time, gotta work on my mid terms and what not.. And y'all shouldn't feel bad about the bashing, it's what I needed to hear.. My grand parents mean allot to me Nd I was movin too fast to think about all that, so y'all did me a good favor, well.. I think you'd be better in granny's house then the mayors field. Are you trying to get in trouble?
Now how much are you trying to grow? you trying to make some money or just fucking around? Don't really matter too much your still gonna want to be deep in the woods but 5 plants 150 yards out is alot easier too hide then 100 plants. I wouldn't even worry too much about private property just go to the town and look at tax maps chances are someone with 100 acres or more won't find your plants just check out his place and make sure he don't look like a hunter then hit the woods don't put them near any property lines cause the dude may just walk it. but the hardest thing is to find a place to clear trees and if your near any houses you aint using a chain saw. A rocky area aint bad either if your growing in pots. Just remember you wan't a south facing slope you end up on the north side your plants are gonna suck and the deeper in the woods the better just make sure your not too far from water not too close either.

Match your room size (cfm) with fan size (cfm).
For filter, go x2.5-x3 the room and fan size..
300 cf room
300 cfm fan
750-900 cfm filter
Change after 3 grows or 9 months..
that is success right there. no book learned knowledge.. experience.
You are better off using a 750 cfm fan speed adjusted back to 300... longer life, quieter operation.. plus if you need the power, or expand, you have it.. just turn it up..
Mainly, the quiet operation is the thing... SUPER quiet when running 300 cfm through a 10 in hole as opposed to a 6in hole.
Bringing adequate outdoor air in whether passive or active will improve yields... you need a large opening for passive.. a 12x15x8 room needs a 3ft x 2ft filtered open area (roughly window sized) to passively feed the room.

Well that may be true, but he was really the only one who gave me answers I was looking for, I was told an ozone generator but I've done quite a bit of research on them and they should totally be looked down upon for the 100:1 bad to good ratio they give.. With the oxidization of metal increase, combustibility, flammability, and health issues.. Not to mention it completely sucks up the yields taste along with scent.. And potentially dries and fries the shit out of the plants if too much is present.. It's no bueno all the way around..

I know a guy who likes em... but, along with a carbon filter.. not stand alone.
Use that formula I gave you and you will have ZERO smell issues.
You can get by with less, but not like you will with my formula... why fuck with it to save even a couple hundred a year? DON'T!
Selecting genetics for low odor.. THAT is the best thing you can do. But, you know, people LOVE odor.
I find c99 to be lower odor. Green Crack is a great commercial low odor.

Lol hey, we've had worse in our fam.. My oldest sister came to rob our grandparents house when she thought we were at an Easter party out of town.. Her dumbass, currently new, and not her only boyfriend decided he wanted to break in the window and come crawlin in my room and took long enough to grab my 380. And shot his ass.. I ddnt know who he was at the time lol but it was allot funnier when I found out he was one of my sisters boyfriends and that she was right behind him carying a suitcase with a bunch of empty suitcases and backpacks packed inside.. Pretty sad tho, but dumbass shouldn't have came crawling in my window.. Simple as that lol.. And I've heard stories from all of my family members that before I was around and when she was somewhat younger, that she got a bunch of new "hood" friends, and was planning on going to our great aunts house (my grandmas sister that spoiled and practically raised her) and was gonna the her up, put her in the closet and rob her house.. Woulda been horrible for that to happen since she's badly claustrophobic.. Luckily she wasn't home, but she and her new friends still broke in and raided the shit out of her house and pawned a bunch of her jewelry and valuables.. Pretty sad.. But it totally doesn't justify me wanting to grow in their house, I actually talked to them about it and I told them I wanna grow, but I wanna do it legally and grandpa is cool with it but grandmas still in the "it's a gateway" drug so she's not so much for it lol.. But I wanna practice with tomatoes or like grapes, because I like grapes lol.. But I gotta convince them to let me set up a hydro grow for some grapes indoors and show them it's not as messy as it sounds cause she thinks I'm talkin about dragging dirt in the house

I had an Uncle who would rob the family often.
One time... the guy broke into a pharmacy and popped/shot so many pills before even getting out of the pharmacy that he passed out, on the floor, found there the next morning.... ah, it's sad, i loved the guy, but that still gets me every time.
He just passed a few months ago. I'm a dick for missing his funeral.. He was a great guy.. I remember him telling me how he liked being locked up because it was the one time when drugs did not ruin his life.
He had moved out of state and not kept in touch... he had said he was clean over the last 3 years or so, but, he didn't sound like it.
I've wanted to ask my father how he died, but, seems inappropriate..
