Had some questions about your light arrays.
Im not the best with electricity/wiring.. just made my first semi-custom leds but looking to do some more =D

Are these each 100watt led arrays?

That's some amazing shit those two leds are doing. Too bad doesn't come in the sweet decor spectrum. Be crazy to buy a expensive led for veg when you can just hook a couple of those up. Maybe even flower, we'll see. Thanks for the killer show

Hey Multi, thanks, I am impressed also, but this is my first grow, I didn't really know what to expect!

They arrays are 80-130 watt each, depending on how you drive them you could rate them at about 100w~, can I ask you how many you want to use in total and do you want room to expand?

The operating voltage of Bridgelux Vero 29 is;

29.4 - 45.1 volts, the driver you have there can only handle 33V, if you want to run the Vreo at 3 amps with a standard LED driver, you will need the voltage rating to be with in 33-45, and running them with a 3 amp driver you would consider them 120watt~ driven arrays each.

Just woke them up, man this resin is sticky and there are so many crystals! I was looking at "Hash Tips" the other day, I wonder if the white tipped ghost buds actually have more THC or if its just a bleaching effect?

Anyway, everything still going to plan, buds are getting bigger, 11.5 hours sleeps and 12.5 hour days, they seem to be liking it, boosted the power a little bit as well, pulling just over 245 watts from the LED arrays now. Some pictures of course



I am thinking about doing some trimming but I wouldn't know what leaves to cut? most peoples grows have way less fan leaves, is this just because they pushed through veg really quickly?

Hey Pico, since you are shortening the dark cycle, look into adding some far red to turn on during the start of your dark cycle.

• Exposure to intense far-red light at the beginning of the night sets the clock ahead about 2 hours or so by eliminating the need for the spontaneous conversion of P[SUB]FR[/SUB] to P[SUB]R[/SUB] (E).

You can buy far red leds (730nm) which can be pricey, or you can use GE Reveals Incandescent Halogens which are much cheaper.

I use trigger lights on a seperate timer and they come on 15 minutes prior to lights off and stay on 15 minutes after lights out.

This really helps in flowering.

Here is a commercial bulb for the process, but like I said you can add cheap halogen incandescent and accomplish the same thing. I have a 40W bulb in my system

If you have plants hardened off to full sunlight, when these light changes take place they might display stem elongation and grow smaller leaves due to greater proportion of Pr to Pfr;

I start flower 12/12 then up it by a half hour every week or two maxing out at 14 on 10 off only at week 6 flower, than i cut back gradually to 11/13 by last week of flush. Remember you only, or at least i only, use the far red for 15 min once lights out and thats it. I use no far red during the day light scheme at all so theres no increase in far red during the day cycle. Used right there will be no issue of the plant shaded effect. I always just did 12/12 . 12.5/11.5, or 11/13 depending on strain with no far red for years and I've added in yield and resin production over the last few runs with the addition of far red (at lights out)

Yeah, I only use the far red at lights out as well and ever since I've added it, my yields have increased and flowering time decreased.

From an old wise grower that I initially got my info from, he uses a ratio of 25% to total power.

So if you have a 400W system, then get a 100W GE Reveal Incandescent Halogen.

I use a 40W for my cabinet

I was recommended GE Reveal Halogen Incandescents and use them. You should be able to find them relatively easily on the web.

shipment costs (20$) is tripple the Price of the reveal halogen. could i just use any other halogen light? because in my Country like 70W 2700k halogen bulp is like 3,50$

Thanks for bringing this up, I think I was a little confused as to the benefit of the far reds. I think you mentioned before, but how long do you run them and when?

I turn mine on 15 minutes before lights out then keep them on for 15 minutes after lights out.
