Hi all,

I planted a northern lights and it sprouted about 10 hours ago, i put it under the cfl lights , it doesn't seem to have true leaves , should i take it to darkness or let it go under the lights?

I'm sorry pics are not very good, it is so small and my camera gets older ..

Yes - Turn the lights on! You only get so much 'seed' energy and then the light takes over. Start photosynthesizing my man!

It has been about 3 weeks seed popped out , it seems to be growing very slow IMO, what do you think ?

They look perfectly fine for 3 weeks. Slow and steady wins the race.

First month or so is painfully slow to me.

Under light for 24 hours and then 18/6 ! good luck
I'd like to do that but electricity is very very expensive , 16/8 works best for me

Looks awesome ! One more leaf level and top it !
Thanks chairroller , I've never done topping before , i think this will be first (:

Time to transplant:bigjoint:
Really? IMO ıt can go about 2 more weeks in this cup ?

That stem right above the soil line looks bad, just like a seedling looks with "damping off" (right before they fall over and die).

I'd guess a not-fatal (yet) case of damping off, or another type of fungus or stem canker. Damping off usually is a problem first couple days after seedlings emerge, but might hit older plants also, I'm not sure.

Your Oct 24 picture shows something orange at the soil line, is that just the dried up cotyledons or something else?

Yep it's the dried up leave, it's first true leaves ,

May it be because of underwatering ?

I water every 2 days , and total amount of water i gave since popped out is maximum 300-400 ml , i'm using cannacure bottle ,spraying, for watering .

Well damping off is caused by overwatering or the soil staying too wet. Not saying this is damping off, though it is a possibility. The stem near the ground in pic 3 and pic 6 above looks like it might have some green fungus on it which would indicate overwatering. I still think it's a stem rot or canker from the pics, but don't know what caused it. Assume you have holes in the cup?

I too water with a spray bottle initially, but after about 10 days I water from below by placing the pot in a couple inches of water and letting it sit a minute to suck up water. It keeps the soil dry on the surface, and gets water to the lower part of the pot where the roots are. A light fan blowing also keeps the soil surface dry.

Yes there are holes in the cup ,
So there's nothing to do now i think. We will wait and see what's gonna happen.

Is the light enough ? Looks like the leaves are withdrawn !
Yes light is enough , 3*25 w and 3*24w cfls
