lighting for bloom interrupted

I had a power bump this morning and it reset my timer. When it came time to turn on the lamp, it didnt happen and after ten or so minutes I started resetting the days, I had to turn it on. the way mine works is a bit tricky, I came on, in "on" mode and I had to have it set for "auto". Tonight when they need to turn off I won't be around so it was important I had this set to auto. However, by doing this the lights were on for about a min, then off. I had to set the time for 10:15 (because it was past ten and it won't "auto on" without it being triggered), so there was a two minute gap in between the light powering back on. Is this gonna hurt things? Also, it's been about 8 days on 12/12, but no real change yet; is this normal? they've grown a few inches thats it. The first week was under immense heat (got an a.c. on top of fans and exhaust doing better now).

the light being off for two minutes is fine. Just try not to let it go for much longer. As for sex signs you should be seeing them any day it usually take anywhere from 7-14 days to show

as long as the interuppted light cycle didn't last longer than a day or two than you should be fine since you are already in the 12/12 mode. 8 days is not a lot of time to be in flowering and minor growth is expected. What's more important than the height is that the flowering nodes are showing themselves coming through. Depending on the strain and type of lights being used you can expect total flowering to be between 7-12 weeks.

Haveing the lights off for more then 12 hours will not hurt your plants at all.

Looking at your photo there, your plants have very dark green droppy leafs. You might think about laying off on the nuts a little. Looks like you are over loading the nuts a little. either that or you have some other problem. My plants top leafs always stretch up for the light, never droop. Check your PPM, PH, amount of watering everything. Something is not correct.

As for the lights being off longer then should have been. No Problem.

I used this bloom stuff, and some fish emulsion, a couple of waterings ago, other than that I have been using just water ( pH 7.0 source is a berkey water purifier), although I have had to water them alot in the past two weeks. This HPS light has put off so much heat my plants were drying out every two days. Got an ac and thats improved things a lot. I'm just seeing new growths that look like more of the same and was just looking for an idea of what to expect?theyve been on 12/12 for 10 days now, photo two days old. I see a lot of new growth (similar to veg growth), and wondered if that'll turn into bud? Also, I'm mostly moving leaves around, for light to penitrate into the plant, but was wondering if I can continue to cut leaves that are inhibiting growth or is that gonna complicate budding?

those I didn't. But I cloned one each off each one of these when I started flower. I am still nursing them. I think I got a couple to take. Dip n grow was what I used

Myself, I would rather put another light down lower than trim any leaves.
I don't know if you can do that though. I believe in no trimming at all, it can stress your plant which will slow any growth a bit.
You could add some mylar to the walls and that will help the light penetrate also. Even white paint would help with that. The black looking floor is not helping either, it is absorbing the light.

As for the start of buds, you'll see hairs soon, 10 days may be a bit early for your plant. Don't worry they will show up.
