Update at day 59, things are maturing nicely, bud growth has slowed, not looking for much more in length however expecting buds to fatten up from here. Still nice and green however have started seeing a few fading leaves.
Hoping that these lights (5, 100watt CFLs) perform well enough during the finish to end up well, will see if they can give this hobby grow a well worth it pass. I do enjoy not fighting the high temps of the HID system, but performance is lacking, due to lack of light penetration power of these CFLs. I do keep em tight and close as I can and light is well distributed, for a small area grow this method maybe your answer rather than just a passing experiment.

The seedling previously shown was transplanted yesterday, was hoping she could wait til harvest, very healthy and youthful appearance is nice...

here are today's pics

Really nice minimalist grow brother! So the seedling is under a 12/12 photoperiod from seed? Are you aware it might result in a really small plant? She will stop growing in like 2 weeks..!

hi... Thanks for the kudos, the seedling is staying in with her big cousin for 12 hrs. and then is moved out to another 6 hrs of light in another area, totaling 18hrs of sunshine .. a little bit of extra work but it works out...

Day 64 greets with slowing growth, super pungent aroma, slowly ripening, along with well defined Christmas Tree shaped firming bud spears. She had a nute series 4 days ago and responded well with slowing, but increase in bud growth. Still maintains a deep dark green appearance and great posture. These "Amnesia Haze" tend to go up to 12 weeks, don't know really what to expect, its up to her, shes always exceeded my expectations, considering the light limitations. Standing by, its her call completely will not hurry this up, to much fun enjoying the bounty.... Check these pics out..IMG_4344.jpgIMG_4348.jpgIMG_4349.jpg

Made the decision today to give what may very well be the last series of nutrient watering. Pistils are withdrawing back into swelling calyxes as she matures. Thinned out some under growth between the spears, she is an absolutely gorgeous specimen. Still seems to have a little more time before perfection, I really enjoy this strain, very uplifting speedy high and hallucinogenic . Amnesia Haze is a two time cannabis cup winner and has a great heritage. If I did not grow this for myself I would never have had this very special time... Here's today's pics.... so for now HOLD HOLD HOLD is the course.

She now is showing me what I have been waiting for, my favorite combination blend of trichs, growth has almost stopped and flowers have fattened up. So now she steps into the land of "Pigs" where the Butcher is King..

Have removed the light system and moved it to the "Power Skunk" (6 weeks old) that has been waiting patiently for her to finish up. Worked out well cuz she's ready for flower in 48 hrs. So am in sort of a minimalist perpetual grow cycle with a harvest every 70 days. Her indica leaning will be much different than the Haze..

Over all this light experiment has been positive and results acceptable, very easy to manage, small but satisfying the need to grow weed. Being my first time using the CFLs I highly recommend my light system method to distribute and control light in all the right places.
Here are the final pics and the light system installed on the Power Skunk" plant, so we are all new again, on the launch pad and ready for blast off....

I will be posting thru the harvest, cure and provide smoke report, stay tuned..

Harvested the Haze today, she has 12 main colas and lots of secondary stuff. Kept her in 36hrs of darkness and dried out prior to start of trimming.

Overall impression of these CFL light results are mixed, enjoyed not dealing with high temperature and airflow requirements of the HID systems, great for small compact projects, not expensive to run, easy set up. Performance lacks and cannot be compared to my experience with the HIDs, total yield seems to me less, buds are great looking however will dry and give total weight later. Here's the pics, I separated buds and graded according to quality of structure. Easy to trim however did spend 5 hrs. giving her the best cut possible.....

wow amazing results for having just 5x 100watt equivalents ..that's just little over 100 true watts. can't wait to see the results .

Will not be disappointed in the yield using cfl's I
suggest you use a 400watt to 600watt cfl's no less. more light=bigger buds,,,, they cost about $20.00 and can get both spectrums
