IR Camera for monitoring plant night

I want to add a camera to the inside of my grow tent. Ideally, I'd like to get one with an ir led for seeing in the dark. Will the ir's light affect my plants?

From what I read it says the camera shoots out a nanometer that is not absorbable by plants.

OH, I see!
The 'camera' isn't really the point - taking pictures/films...?
It's all about the I R light.

Isn't it possible to buy a light without the camera?

My plants are in the dark during my daytime so I cannot just open my grow tent when I get curious.

I am already going to add a bunch of temperature sensors with a raspberry pi so I figured I'd just add the camera module so I can snap a picture when I get curious. Although, I just found out the raspberry pi's camera (the one I have) has an IR filter ... I need to do some testing to see if it is going to affect me much.

Now I'm looking into green LED's ... I see some grow shops selling green LED flashlights ...

right. but as someone else already asked, whats the point? so you can see your plants in a black and white picture? it really doesnt make any sense. if you are that curious that you cant help but peek on them while they are sleeping than you need to be focused on practicing some self control, not worrying about an IR camera. just my 2 cents, to each their own i just dont see any point.

What's the point of a radio in a car? It doesn't help you get to work so why waste the time putting one in?

Other than the fact that I simply want to see inside and I think it's cool it could help you notice:
A fallen oscillating fan
Any sort of water buildup in the bottom
A sudden light leak

I could also take pictures from when they aren't sleeping for a timelapse.
