jock horror, always the same problem, i need some help..

hello people, i have 2 seedling 2 weeks from sprout in soil. my previous attempts also killed my plants. i ve read a lot, but i really cant find an answer for my problem, it gets me crazy!!!
-so they are in biobizz lightmix soil 2 weeks now since sprouted
-under 300 w led
-the only things i gave them is a little of trichoderma powder, a little of piranha powder and 1ml of voodoo juice in 1 lt
-i water them every 3 days when the lights go on (they are in 18/6 from start)
-the led is 70 cm away from the top of the plant
- i have a fan blowing air gently on them
-my temps are around 73f (23c)- 78f (26c)
-i fan 185 m3/h for out and 2 pc fans for intake
-my water ph is around 6.5 and the run off at 6.3

Always at around that age my leaves are getting yellow and a little later brown and crispy, then they die.
i need some help, i ve had around 3-4 attempts and all gone wrong!!!

sounds like you may have fed them to early?
no need to feed them so early...seedling dont need any nutrients...only time you should feed is when you notice their color starting to fade...and when you do feed it should be at a less than 1/4th dose of nutrients to start.

edit: just seen pics...only give em water for next week and see how they react

thanks man for the reply.. do you believe they ll be better if i flush them? i give them water only a week now and they re getting worse.. i water them till some water go out every 3 days.. also should i do something for my 6.3 ph run off?

if i dont need to flush them, should i add a little superthrive or something at the next watering to see how it ll go? they say and i ve seen it does good things at stressed plants..

is there nutrients in your soil? does it say on the bag of soil nutrient content? eg...n-p-k

no that sounds about right 6.5 is ideal but that whats going in not what coming out.

when you water what color is the run off...should be almost clear if there is no nutrients in soil.

it is almost clear the water. it has nutrients inside, but is the lightmix, instead of the allmix.. when i water i make sure to let about 20-30% run off for that reason.. also i ve aded beneficial fungi inside, so if i flush, i ll lose them.. also im afraid i might have an overwatered situation which will bring more problems..

Alright ! I agree with Lime73 but if you haven't been giving nutes and they look like this, that means you giving them too much light mate !
"Your leaves will get yellow or brown brown spotting and may appear generally burnt in places when there's too much light. So, find a way to lower the temperature and/or increase the circulation in the grow room or grow area if heat is the problem. Having a small fan blowing over the tops of your plants will help prevent hot spots from forming directly under your grow lights. If your marijuana plants are just getting too much light, try removing some of the lights or moving your lights further away from the tops of the plants.
When learning how to weed, it's best to try to keep things at a comfortable room temperature at all times for optimal growth. If it's too hot for you, it's probably too hot for your plants.

thanks man the lights are at 70cm (2,3ft) away and the room temp is always around 23-26 c (73-78f), so it doesnt seem that this is the problem.. i really dont know whats wrong.. maybe a lock out?

I'm gona go with lime^^^^ and I might add, if you transplant her into a 1 gal pot with fresh soil she will do alot better from here out if you don't feed till the leaves are """starting""" to turn colors...and only water every 3 days or so, when the pot is lite...
This is a 2 week old bagseed, I threw a bean (literally) into a 3 gal pot of used soil and have given nothing but water to...
...I mixed no perlite...I barely watered it...and it was used houseplant soil (african violet) ...lmfao ...it's healthy and I will transplant her tomorrow .......Morale of the story, less is more buddy, so just let that girl grow herself...good luck...and welcome to RIU...

Thanks , lol...that bean was just a joke to start with...I learned all this in a year buddy...from the beggining just like you...this is my last legit grow...
...like I said...I went from killing my plants with love...lol...to letting them do there own thing and check em every 3 days or so now...good luck buddy and don't worry you'll get there...

I agree it looks like a like a tiny nute burn, but I don't think you have a major problem. I add fert earlier than most people and against conventional "wisdom". I also put them in a fairly rich soil. I often get these brown tips at this size but it never amounts to anything. And by the time it gets a couple more fan leaves going it always stops.

Cut back your nutes. If you flush (which I don't think in this case is necessary but may not hurt, and I personally have never had to do and think it's something to avoid) make sure it dries out ASAP. Keep a light fan blowing across the soil, keep your temps on the high end, keep humidity low if you have the ability to adjust it, and plenty of light.

Anyway this is common in my experience on these little plants, but stops occurring as they get a little larger. And keep in mind this is just my experience and my opinion so take it at that.

To give u my 2 cents worth dude, on first glance at ur pics, i too would've initially said ur problem was either over-nuteing too early or high temps are distorting their growth too much. Tho to be fair, all the additives ur using are root & soil stims only and ur temps & air circulation sound good enough too. Plus BB soil is good stuff & should be fine for seedlings certainly. I don't know enough about LEDS to comment on that, but unless its majorly putting out wrong spectrum of light, then i wouldn't have thought it was a problem.

The only possible thing i could think is maybe because ur using 3 or 4 different brands of root stims together, that possibly they're not interacting well together & are causing some chemical by-product that the plants ain't liking?? Outside of a lab, ur never gonna be able to find out if this is true while still using all 3 together, so I think u should take inspiration from RIKNSTEINS great advice & go back to basics.

I would recommend next time u start that u just use 1 of the root stims per plant, and if need be, do 3 plants side-by side with each one using only 1 of the 3 different products. Maybe even do a 4th with no stims at all & then u got some sort of control running by which to measure results. Or to run a slightly truer control, try another seed type altogether with all 3 stims in at once, like u have been & see what they do. If they survive, then JH seed batch is likely bad, if not & they die again then its probably the stims. Generally, just don't overload them at the beginning & i think it'll be more fruitful. And maybe google to see if different brand root stims are known to conflict as well.

And i'd say apply this minimal policy to treating ur plant full stop. Sometimes they just need a day or two to recover themselves, and constantly thinking they must need flushing or that some other chemical additive is the only solution to a problem, will often only damage them further.

And finally (!!), my only 2 other leftfield thoughts are possibly ur soil or stims have got contaminated some other way & unwittingly contain some unwanted element. (again, going back to running controls, ideally u'd wanna start again with totally fresh products, but i appreciate this is pricey option) Or possibly even, are u growing in room u smoke in, or spray aerosols in, etc, or is there anything in air could be landing on them?? But these last 2 are unlikely; my main recommendation is only run 1 root additive at once till u feel confident to add 1 more in future grows.

guys i really appreciate your thoughts! this things always happens on me at that stage! thats the reason i thought of giving it beneficial fungi etc. the previous try was with the same results, although a little earlier and i thought i had root rot, thats why i put trichoderma inside. as they say voodoo juice with piranha works great together. the next day after i gave them their leaves were at 45 o upwards, which seemed like they enjoyed it. i really dont know my problem. today got worse and i didnt do anything at it. today is the watering day, so i must act fast and see what i can do.. here are some better pics from today. they get beager as you see, but it is till it will go at all the leaves and all die.. what should i do really i need some help, it is going again that way...

at previous tries i was giving them only root juice and it didnt last that long, also they were smaller. the yellow thing isa and at the other leaves, but not yet the brown and crispy thing. i used to put them for 1 hour at the sun before the lights go out. the temps outside was around the same as inside and they seemed to like the sun, they turned his way following him.. i dont know.. but why with my previous too?

my flushed my previous try and didnt work, it got worse and then died.. i dont understand it keeps having new leaves but the yellow-brown-crispy problem is faster.. also 1 thing i saw yesterday. i did a test and i phed my water at 6.5 with ph down, 1-2 hours later it was at 7.2 at the same bottle. maybe it s a louckout? my ph pen works right, i check it every week.. i need some help..

Only water when it is necessary (dryish), if that happens to be every 3 days than that is fine but dont feel like you have to if the soil is still moist. If youre using a seed starting mix dont get all hung up on the ph run off, and back off with all those beneficials until the plant gets a little established. When theyre that small there sensitive so if you try to fuss over them too much theyll stress out. If these problems have happened multiple times using that bio bizz mix, maybe try a different brand next time..just in case your bag (or the retailers stock) is bad. Good Luck
