Bud Trimmer review....the "TrimBot"

Many of you know I bought a trimmer from ebay. I finally had a chance to use it today, and this thing is awesome. It didn't have an name on it so we've been calling it "TrimBot", cost less that $500, & damn well worth it. My wife & I give it 2 thumbs up. The little chute on the side doesn't work well, so we used it without it, just tipped the top to empty it. 2 people bucking buds off the stem, we couldn't keep up with the "TrimBot". I love this thing, I highly recommend it. Here's a few pics ....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Professiona...ud-Trim-Reaper-Pro-HPS-MH-Light-/350690101245

Seems like a nice little rig... how is the leaf pile? is there a lot of popcorn or damaged bud?
It pretty well minces the trim, and any popcorn that didn't fall thru the grate (say 1/2") came out nicely trimmed. It trims popcorn better than I do. We ran about 8-9lbs of wet buds thru in about 3hrs. You could easily run 20+lbs wet, thru in a day. For $500 you can't go wrong.....

Do the buds still need a hand manicure once they're dry? I would love to see some bud shots, good trim work really seems to help product move in my area and helps fetch a better price so I'm curious what the finished buds look like.

Here's a few pics of the finished buds. They go into the TrimBot all shaggy and they come out like this. I figure we have run about 25-30lbs of wet buds thru and they all come out like this. I'll post some dried shots in a few days. I will never harvest without one again.....the trim gets minced up into sugar coated confetti.

Wow those look pretty darn good. After spending roughly $1200 on trim work I can really see how that thing could pay for itself. Plus doing a wet trim and using racks I could probably fit more into my drying room at once.

How loud is it?

Nice DoubleJJ!!!

Glad you did a show of the TRIMBOT! It has saved my ass this season like no other!

Just yesterday I brought down and hung 2 full drying nets BY MYSELF in about 8 hrs!

If you're used to paying out trimmers and dealing with the whole "trim scene", especially from the growers perspective this is a diamond of a find!

Kudos to you DoubleJJ Sir for sparking the $500 TrimBot revolution.

It is estimated in comparison with past outdoor seasons as well as many many indoor take downs, this machine has saved me and mine 100+hrs of scissor work, NO SHIT!!!!

TrimBots UNITE!

It is a dream for drying racks!
I've run trim pros, 1st,2nd and 3rd gen. I've run $14k twisters, I've got a pair of automated bosai hero shears, and this handles the work load while cutting out unnecessary steps in any larger scale take down process!

But this past indoor and outdoor take down I bigleaf in the field, buck down the buds off the stems into a large bin 1 strain a time, then run the machine. Once you get 3-4 strains down at a time it's a matter of rotating bucking off the stem and running the machine, SO very efficient especially if you have more than 1 person on the job!

An the noise is quite tolerable even on the highest setting, especially in comparison with those super high cfm trimpro motors and also the deafening noise of running a twister in conjunction with a high cfm trim catch bag...

About as loud as a box fan on Hi.......you can carry on a conversation over the machine. You won't need earplugs....

I have heard bad things about trimming machines, mainly that you wont be able to get a good cure as the bud drys to quickly. Is that true? And whats the score with them drying racks? thanks!

Thanks for sharing DoubleJ, I am actually surprised!!! Nice review and work! What do you plan to do with the dank trimmings?

Peace

Doublejj, if you`re happy with it, I think I would be too. Where was that thing 20 yrs. ago ? Does it build up sticky ?

The rack, .......I love it, just got a light above my head. Do you keep one in the living room for guests ?

I'm very happy with it. I have sprayed it down with pam, and can wipe it clean with a green scrubbing pad and paper towel's. It's well worth $500 IMHO.....I bought the rack many years ago at Home Depot, it will hold about 5lbs of buds at a time......No I don't keep on in the living the room! that's where I opened the box & put it together......

Nice haul on the Dry Ice Xtract, I have to wear a mask when I make it cause my allergies go full blast when I shake! Tasty vape hits with that!
