Light to use for seedlings

Ok, I've got Master Kush 4 seeds that have popped the cap in some rockwool. They're currently under a lamp that has a CFL light bulb in it. I do have a grow box with a 600W MH light as well as 600W HPS light. I was wandering if I could use the MH light to help the germination and early seedling growth go faster or would that be too much light? And when should I start to use the MH for veg (when should I remove it from the rockwool?)

CFLs are fine the first month or so. Just use plenty.

Don't try to rush it.. Let nature do it's thing! Just try not to be to eager.. Don't worry about keeping the cfl too close, you can practically put it within inches! Don't worry much about adding nutes yet because they got some stored in those all important cotyledons (round leafs) and just try your best to be patient lol

put them babys under that mh to veg is your best bet. just be wary of heat and drying out.

If you have the MH there's no reason to leave them little ladies under cfls for a month. Keep them under the cfls till there 3rd 4th set of leaves then let the MH work its magic

Vegging under cfl is the same as flowering under cfl, yeah it works but whats the point. My plants spend 5 days under cfl until their roots fill a 3x3 rockwool cube and then its under the 600, strongest plants ever. Believe it or not, they grow naturally pretty well under the sun and thats way more intense than our hid's

T5's are excellent for about the first 2-3 weeks or so, depending on strain.

I've gotta agree with blowincherrypie, CFL's until 4 leaf sets then MH until you're happy with your veg time, then HPS. Don't use that MH too early, no need for that.

I've actually done grows from start to fi.ish with T5s with great results.
That being said, I have switched back to hps for flower, and have to say the hps blows the t5 away as far as density. I have noticed I get better results with a mixed spectrum.
