Sorry to break it to you. That plant got trashed. It was way too tall to be a CFL grow.

The clones are under T5 currently and I plan on getting a hps for them since they are High in sativa.
yeah i can see why.it;s sad but true :D .

I read that red light (2700) occurs when the sun is low on the horizon and blue light(6500) occurs when the sun is high in the sky.

So I put my blue over top of plant and the reds on the sides.
I see. That's pretty smart ;-). Thanks for every single answer.I felt really comfortable reading this thread. Thanks and again thanks..!!

A perfect cure everytime is a thread in the harvest subforum. Follow that and you will have no problem.

Get yourself some half gallon jars and one or two caliber iv hygrometer and you will save yourself alot of stress.

i just put in a 150w HPS (still using a few cfls on the side) due to my wwxbb growing so big that i needed the light penetration. Hard to use those on side, depends on light fixture but definitely worth it. My cfl's were burning the s*&t outta my plants (keeping them within 2 inches is hard as F) so i felt it'd be easier to use HPS. A little heat rise but worth the compensation for the "good light". SO hopefully you do make the change, i'd for sure say its worth it

Yeah, trying to convince hubby to let me get it now.

Poor plant is crying out for light.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND GROWING SATIVA WITH CFL!!!!!

A Flashwing with MH/HPS dimmable 600w ballast and HPS bulb. $154
So sativas like penetrating light..A 400watts HPS with dimmable ballast would do the work for 2 plants? HMMM..thank god mine is an Indica dominant cause my lack of research and planning before i do any purchases was 0(and if i had a sativa i would not be able to grow her properly) compared to what i've learnt so far :D .This baby is so beautiful and looks so happy :D . She will grow strong :)).

Well all plants like light. Lol

A hybrid plant with more sativa ends up taller than an indica dominate plant.

The taller the plant the more impractical it is to use cfls.

although even with 400w hps my friend managed to get some albino buds due to too intensive light chlorophyl started to break on top colas, so there can be too much of light

Υeah..there should be a balance.Ι'm using cfl's for now and i'll try to keep it that way for now..i don't want to mix things up.I'll post a pic..i want to know if this is a nute burn or smt else..

Looks like the start of nute burn to me.

On the topic of the HPS. I will be dimming it to 300 watts.

Cfls are EXCELLENT for veg. Especially for 2-3 plants. Cfls are good for flowering if you are doing one plant at a time and have topped at the second node.

The quality of bud I have produced with CFLs has been SUPERB!!!

12/12 Day 16

2 feet tall today. The twins are healthy except for the light burns. Got a good amount of bud sites. They arent drinking much tho. I think it is because of lack of light.

S1020002.jpgS1020003.jpg

Got some successful polination sites. Not as many as I thought there would be. Makes me wonder why people freak out about hermis and males in the grow room so much.

I have some pollen stored in the freezer and may hit her again in a week if I don't see more pollinated buds.

It seems that the polination happened the most at the preflowers. Maybe the buds weren't ready to be pollinated yet.
