2 Cops and 10 Clones

First off let me start off by stating I am an Ak patient and have had my medical card for some time now. I have always been curious about those growing and assuming that the 24 plants and under rule was sufficient to protect them from prosecution had they been discovered. For me this isnt an option considering I have a family and actually do use it medicinally instead of recreationally.

I have an old friend that o converse with occasionally and today he had a very interesting story to tell about his little brother and it may answer my question about the 24 plants and under clause.

Long story short, they were having a party where there was underage drinking and it got outta hand and ther police were involved. After discovering several minors(18-20) They gained access to the house via the garage and began checking ids in the residence.

In their search they discovered 10 very small freshly transplanted clones under 6 2ft t5's just put into the soil. They did not arrest him, they did not ticket him, they just took them. They said they would be handing the evidence over to the DA monday to see if he wants to prosecute.

I know there are factors involved that could cause this to go either way such as schools, recreation areas, federal property to name just a few.
I just thought it was very interisting to see this happen and to hear the outcome. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Oh and one more thing WE ALL KNOW that it was very stupid what these kids did. It could have been avoided 100 %
and we all know that. I was just curious weather anyone had any experiences similar to this.

I could care less I have maintained my card through The Healing Center for 3 years now. I just have always been curious about what would actually happen to someone. And me being originally from Texas where they arrest you for freakin seeds, stems and paraphanelia it has always made me wonder if it was actually some kind of myth I guess we shall soon see.

Underage drinking is a bad thing. I can understand giving kids weed but alcohol is killer dude.

I think Drinking period is bad but that isn't the focus of what I'm curious about. I just have always wondered about how liberal they really were about the plants.

They are waiting until monday to decide so they can spray paint a hopscotch court w/in 500 feet of his/your grow claiming it to be a "recreation area" allowing them to charge him/you. If your anywhere outside of anchorage they have nothing better to do. The paperwork will read 10 plants. Not 10 clones or 10 starters or 10 plants in veg. It will read 10 plants and thats all the judge will see or care to see anyways. Can you beat this???? YES VERY EASILY IN FACT! NOT! It will just cause you to have to go to trial. So on top of the court/attorney/fine/fees you have already paid. It will cost you another 6-8K. Gotta love the local police and courts. Just look at it like this. At the very moment they were saving the planet by eradicating the world of your industrial sized grow capable of getting hundreds if not thousands of children strung out on the illicit drug street named "pot"
12 people committed a violent crime against another
54 people committed an offense that damaged the property of another person
1 person was murdered
2 people (to include man, woman or child) were forcibly raped
2 people were robbed by an offender with a deadly weapon
8 homes were burglarized and 4 vehicles were stolen
And this isn't to mention the 84 Billion dollars worth of Cocaine/heroine/Methanphetamine/exctasy/etc. That pours into the U.S. Every year financing devastating violent organizations destroying not only your country but theirs as well.

And the sad part is that this is every day and just in your state. Im no expert on law enforcement but I would have to say that someones priorities are slightly off track.

I'm with you Alaska. BTW - I watch that Alaska State Troopers show and have a question for you. How come nobody in those remote towns picks up after themselves? There's a whole bunch of shit around everyone of those shacks. Burned out cars, half-wrecked snow machines, etc... What's the deal?

Your most likely not going to get in much of anything for 10 clones.

Even a school zone if you are in your own residence your private property rights trumps the school zone penalty. A kid beat that rule about 5 years ago in state court.
