in regards to prairie plant, my thoughts are as follows.

these guys can barely see past the dollar signs. they've had a taste in canada and want michigan. we aren't going to be able to send them packing i don't think. at least I'm not going to be able to, i can barely afford diapers!

BUT

i think we can come to a compromise. let prairie plant in to supply the decriminalized over 21 population. might have to still have a card to buy, idk seems like thats a lot of profit they might not let go.

before we can get full decrim and before we go off about it and get ourselves sent packin i think we should maybe just concentrate on cementing the MMMP. get that shit written in stone so no matter what they cant get rid of the caregiver/patient program.

i imagine full decrim would follow before too long.

thoughts?

id also like to discuss resources and facts that we can bring to this up and coming meeting (Date still unsure? anyone know?)

id like to get stats from lara on how many people got the cheaper card cause of SS.

anyone have any miracle stories from here in MI we can highlight?

anything anyone can think to add please feel free to speak up. i have no clue what I'm doing but i feel like i need to be doing it, so please help lol!

No sir. Prairie is not for us.
We need to be able to buy diapers.
More regs will not help my patients.

3-4 cities went Decrim. If we keep our eye on that target we do stand a chance next November. Start comprising now and we will never hit that target.

i agree that if we compromise we wont hit the target of full decrim with legal growing but is that target attainable? is it gonna end up like CO?

with decrim i would like to see a system in place so that people who cant grow could sign away their grow rights to a caregiver much like we have in place now just more legal. keep caregivers limited or something. idk.

like i said this is a brainstorming thread please chime in all!

No way a state will pass on the taxation. If CO shows Tax revenue, then other states will use that as an example and more states will roll out recreational Canna but- they will never do this without the tax when the other states are reaping the tax benefit.

So would have to be a specific vote to decrim and not tax. People's vote would have to accomplish that I expect.

I personally do not believe that the taxation carrot should ever be an option for a ruling class without a clear mandate of integrity within all law prior. 25% will never be enough for these asshats with the option of 100% seizure/forfeiture still on the table.

Well, I'd say from a historical perspective this thing is flying pretty fast and in our favor, and the tax thing is already on every state's table and it's already a carrot. I couldn't argue a sales tax collected at Canna Bar, just like a tax on beer at a bar. But no way I'd pay a tax to raise a tomato in my back yard.

you'd pay a tax to raise 350 of them i bet! and if you only wanted to raise lets say..... 75 then why would you pay? or whatever numbers we could come up with. i thinks thats our best bet. get it set up with regulations for major producers and major resellers. would be worth a fortune and the little guy could still get by.

Treat it like produce. Everybody can grow a few tomatoes. A little larger, the local farmer can have a business and unlike all other small farming, not be shit on by the USDA

The Mob taxing folks at least provides them with protection and takes the same risks of prosecution, or worse.

Organized Crime: Without this government and it's laws/policies the Mob would/could not even exist.

Organized Politics: Without accountability or integrity it is the greedy power hungry narcissistic politician and his/her political political party that literally threaten the safety and security of every present and future American.

It's time to address the true problem my friends. Stop listening to all of the bullshit (the means) and start watching reality (the ends).

If an over zealous LEO prodded with federal funding and the lucrative abuse of seizure/forfeiture clearly threatens the safety and security of MJ patients all across this state, we must deal with that NOT the law being abused and ignored. If a medical marijuana patient with 2.6oz and/or 13 plants (a civil section 4 violation) can somehow be found guilty of a federal Schedule I Narcotics felony, why not find unlawful raids by LEO a conspiracy to commit armed robbery? If we cannot mandate integrity in these interpretations and actors (means), we should at least strive for equality (ends) ...

I'm pretty sure these guys
Will have there greedy and evil hands all over this if it gets decriminalized everywhere or completely legal. The corporations will come out of the wood works and do the same thing they do now with insurance, medical, communications, gov...Need I go on

the beer industry would be a good example of how it could be regulated. probably our best bet on a final goal to work towards? idk so many possibilities, so many people wanting so many different ends.

Regulation like beer and wine is a viable option. Once cannabis is decriminalized. If I need a building/electrical inspector out to the house I want to know he can't screw me over....
If I want to be a brewery there are plenty of rules in place.

I believe this is the gist of Washington's recreational MJ program and may not be so pertinent here until legalization. Although in the end the sin tax paradigm does not seem logically obtainable with systematic federal prohibition in effect IMO.
