I dont have a problem with society taking care of you, I have a problem with the government doing it now at the point of people who dont pay into the system being penalized. It is charity at the point of a gun. Basically it is socialized medicine where the young and healthy pay for the poor and elderly. It is re-distribution of wealth and it benefits you so you champion it.

Look, disability benefits are my right as an American and I refuse to apologize for situations I do not control. I am grateful and how dare you imply otherwise. I am not eligible for Obamacare or welfare or food stamps but believe in them conceptually. People need and deserve help as human beings and I will give it when I can. Your rights are established by laws as are mine, this is immutable...what stance are you taking? You are ethically opposed.....does that mean you would refuse treatment? How far does your stance last in a coma? Tell me what you would do if suddenly you were disabled permanently? Would you ask for help? Would you live on the street? I think you are full of shit and your convictions are not as strong as you assert.

I'll take issue with both of these statements.

IMO, any able hard working person in the US is a better American than those who choose to live of the government dole or the pieces of shit that lead a life of crime and prey on honest hard working Americans.
Granted there are many Americans that work their butts off but still find themselves not making ends meet, these Americans are Not choosing to live of government handouts, they just cant survive without a little help from us and they deserve just as much respect as the fortunate.

I think fraud is criminal and should be treated as such. My problem is the language. The criminal, prey, handouts seem to imply bias and infer negatively on those who are not abusing this assistance. I know that we feel the same here but just a heads up.
