Probably a stupid question

This is probably a stupid question but anyway, I see pics of grow rooms and people have to duct tubes attached to both sides of their cool tube or air cooled hood when they only have one hood in their room/tent Why is that? Wouldn't you just want ducting attached to one side with a fan to draw air through and out of the tent or room? I just don't get how having exhaust ducts on both sides would work??

You can do it how you said. But there are a couple advantages to having it completely sealed. First if you are using CO2 you won't be exhausting it out. Secondly if you need to control odor and you attach a carbon filter to the open end you will be sucking air through the carbon filter constantly while the lights are on. This is more odor control than you will need for veg and the first part of flower so you will be forced to replace your carbon filters more often. Thirdly if your exhaust fan is separate you can control when it comes on, allowing you to be more in control of your environments humidity and temperature. If you have any other questions you can msg me.

Well said

Also I seen somewhere about pulling already warmed air threw the cooltube. When you should be pulling cooler air from outside your tent to cool your bulbs. From what I understand it helps with over all temps in the tent aswell.
