Looks really small give it some time, my plant is prob twice the size of that now and is showing female signs in veg (havent started to flower)

plants start to show sex when they are matured, how many nodes you have? seems like its stretching so maybe not enough light or you have light leaks.

Give it some time and make sure you don't have any light leaks, Good luck hope you get lots of buds...:weed:

What strain are you growing? Are these bag seed, if they are then you could be growing a plant pollinated by a late showing male the grower missed. Which would mean the offspring could also be late to flower.

Not sure what lighting you are using but if it isn't an intense light then they will take longer to start the flowering process. They look healthy enough, just give them some time...

Its a very small closet grow (till i get my bigger place) its a first attempt to get my feet wet before i move. I figured a pictures worth a thousand words so i just snapped a few pics of the area im using. like i said its VERY small, and i dont think im having a light issue cause the second one has not started to stretch up at all. light on the left is a cfl flood light i believe, and the other (right) is a LED flood light, very powerful, lots of lumens.

i think i might be having light leaks thorough the sides of the door, does that little light make that much of a difference? i could start plugging it with towels or something

your gonna need a light made for flowering. Niether of those lights are giving you the proper sprectrum needed. You'll probably get some weed, but definitely don't get your hopes up. A good learning process none the less.

I don't think those leaks would create a problem, but who knows. are they on a timer? or are you turning them manually?

i just don't think your lights are powerful enough. at least to get flowering going very fast. It will take some more time for sure.

They're just not mature yet man.

just leave the lights off for 36 hours, resume 12/12 for a week if still absolute nothing then 36 again. your light spectrum doesnt matter, the right spectrum is definetly beneficial but you can flower regardless of what light your using, they might just be slow flowering, but most of the time its light leaks, if your sure there arnt leaks then you just need to give it more time to show effects.

Do it. It forces the hormonal shift to flowering. I dont know the correct term for it. They will stretch an inh looking for the light, and show sexy within 10 days of being under 12/12.

lol show sexy, but i didnt know they will show sex around 10 days of flower, what if you start flower really early, do you think they'll show sex in about a week or two?
(cuz this im doing flowering kinda early, they just started to branch out, the leaves at the nodes arnt even fully grown. like almost a foot high)

What are your lights color spectrum? I've had that make plants not flower. My first plant was under 12/12 for 5 week, had white hairs and everything but never budded. It was because my lights were way too cool (7800k). Just a thought.

your light spectrum wont make plants NOT flower, it can slow it down but the flowering hormones remain inactive with ANY amount of light (except a green light). They are sensitive, thats the problem with light leaks, but dont get me wrong, the type of light does have a big effect, but if your plant gets more than 12 hours of pure darkness it will flower regardless, i used a green light to work on them as to not disturb them.

the led (which is the more powerful one, more lumens) i that one is in the red orange range. The other (cfl flood light) is more in the blue area, i got both so i could have a larger variety of the light spectrum. i plan on grabbing some cfls soon (as soon as i have the money)

Yeah thats why you can take cuttings off a seed plant, put the cuts into a 12/12 environment and they will show sex very soon after.

Also think about topping you plant if its lanky, or bending and tying.
