What i suggest doing before you get ya other seeds, is practice germing sum mid grade or reggie first... This way, you'll have a good idea on what you need to do before your prize seeds arrive...

Get 2 layers of paper towel... fold it in half, then in half again (You should have a square now) soaked the sqaure in cool distilled water. Place the seeds in between the fold in your sqaure. Squeeze out acces water, yor want the towel overly damp, but not soaked. Put towel on a paper plate, with another plate over top of it. Store in a shoe box, and put the box somewhere cool. Voila! It's just that easy... In two days or so, you'll see the tap root popping out, you can plant right away.

Keep in mind, you dont really have to germ, its just perferred (and smarter too) because you can filter out what seeds wont grow at all...

But anywho, like i said, practice before you get the good shyt... you'll be fine... :blsmoke:

no.not nerely my first grow.i never ordered seeds before and i thought it might take a little longer with a hybrid seed but it is the opposite..the folded towel method has always been my method of germing.Always work the best for me.they were just horrible seeds.
 
no this is not nerely my first grow.they just sent me some really bad seeds,the folded papertowel is my method of germing also,so i am germing some seeds i have been saving.i am going to clone those for sex cause itll take a while for my good seeds to get to the south.
 
I Got An US aerogarden but im using it with a stepdown transformer in the UK the transformer Works a treat but ive now blown my bulbs, So The Big question is what if i was to buy UK Version bulbs and put them into the US aerogarden then use my ps2 power cord to supply the right voltage for the bulbs i really dont want to blow any more builbs , or waste any more money so tell me if im wrong, Advice would be Very Welcome
 
if you could find bulbs that fit the aerogarden light sockets id say go for it, its worth a try right, i wish i could help more but i dont know whatcha guys got over there

LOL:mrgreen: What i mean nirvanaphreak is i have US Aero And i mite get some Uk bulbs and use my uk ps2 wire and connect to the hood and cross my fingers and hope it doesnt blow the lights do you guys think its worth a try or no?:peace:

AeroGarden Grow Bulbs by AeroGrow (Original & Pro100) go here for your bulbs
 
youll need to get the bulbs for the us version and use the transformer, the hood is wired for it
might kill it if you try too hook it up without....

Okok i've come to my senses i was only going to do that because i cant be bothered to wait for them to be posted to me from US It Takes FOREVER to get here ,any way i bought a few new Cfl's instead, :confused: Does any body know what is the minimum amout of lumens of light you need to grow 3-4 plants successfully? .Reefa
 
:hump:I built a diy aero garden used a 1000 wt hps and had pretty good results the pic's are in a razor phone I sold the phone ( forgot to erase pic's) but aero is the way to go if you can be tied to the garden watch for clogged sprayers and drains to but its the bomb!:spew:peace

id say just get like 10 cfls warm and soft mixture some 42 watters :-) dont know about the lumens but i think thats a good start

yea id like to build my own, but the one we are talking about is more like a DWC setup, very small to grow herbs and peppers on your counter top, if i do a diy setup ill prolly go hempy buckets :-D
 
i need advice on clones,like what nutes they need if any?i have a peg board type christmas L.E.D. Light setup.im gonna make a clone-box with it.

r thre any otherbulbs better grow bulbs or can i put a hps or mh bulb or do they even makesuch a bulb for the AG?
 
id say the ones they put in them are the best you can get for it, if you wanna go mh hps, you just gotta remove the hood and replace it with the reflector and bulb for the hps/mh
 
no, but you will most likely need to raise the light hood up more, and get more lights, if you want an example look at my journal i still need more lights, but im savin for a hps :-D
 
Guess there probably isnt a better way, no biggie if ur starting from scratch, but when you have to flush and refill when you have plants, there has to be a better way.

I was thinking about installing a drain hole on the side...
