I've been favoring barley lately as well, been substituting it for most all dishes I make that may call for rice2 para that looks lovely, great colours. i bet it's a delicate game risotto with shrimps in.
I've been putting barley in loads of things lately, it's a great filler. cheap and good winter food.
tonight the plan was caramelised butternut squash & gammon risotto but the gf is at the mo'laws so, i'll probably eat poached egg on toast i can never be arsed to cook nice stuff for 1.
Yes, the pie was very good. The risotto was a bit salty but still tasted great, though I am not the biggest fan of shrimp my pal loves the stuff. As for the presentation, it was just dinner with a friend so we put the stuff in a pot and stirred Its not puke I promise >.<No offence but it looks like a pile of hurl to me.
Sometimes it's hard to present great tasting food.
