Ask yourself why you are not troubled by the failure of the Health Care rollout?

Really. I've asked some before. Why, instead of feeling badly that our attempt to offer everyone in the country reasonable assurances that they will get insurance, that they may not now lose their homes should a breadwinner get sick, that they might have assistance if their child gets cancer, that maybe the millions who have been set aside by big insurance might be helped, why are you all so joyous?

Why are you giddy at the possibility that a program rolled out in order to help your fellow Americans might fail?

Why, rather than perhaps suggesting tweaks or fixes or alterations do you persist in laughing? Do you hate this president so much that you would see your friends and neighbors suffer?

When Katrina hit, people scoffed and were angry at Bush's failure to lead but Reublicans, Democrats, liberals and conservatives all went to help, they all sent clothing and money and food. They all shared in the pain of New Orleans.

Not so this disaster, Republicans are not only sitting on their hands as people suffer, but they are doing everything in their power to make it even worse for the common man.

What, exactly, does that say about Republicans? The battle is over, the law was passed and confirmed, it WILL be implemented and there is nothing to stop that, so why are Republicans not pitching in, bad law or not? What sort of hatred does that take?

How did Obamacare change this? Is there a section that prevents bankruptcy due to medical bills? 80% of people who went bankrupt with medical bills had insurance, were you aware of this?

There is no magic fairy dust in O'care.

Perhaps people are a bit biased against Obama care because of all of his lies
or maybe its the way it was passed without reading it or debating it.
Maybe its because it raises costs while pandering and selling out
to both the insurance companies and drug companies.Maybe because it was written by lobbyists.
Maybe its because it could not have been done much worse and by a more inept
gang of scumbags. Maybe its because people don't want more power given to the now
untrustworthy and criminal IRS.
So many reasons!

Canndo, you are looking at this from your own perspective without regard for anyone else.
This law was doomed from the start, the majority of Americans did NOT want it.
Many conservatives, including myself believe the federal government is over stepping it's grounds by forcing people to purchase something we may not want.
The bill was railroaded through congress without a single bipartisan vote and you know as well as I that if the shoe was on the other foot and republicans passed a bill to lower taxes without a single democrat vote, you'd call foul.

When congress voted to go to war with Iraq or Afghanistan did the left say, we're here to help?

I feel the same way as you. I guess some are so unhappy with their lot in life they want to see others suffer. Instead of giving suggestions to improve whats going on, they simple add to the problems accomplishing nothing. What make other Great nations able to give her citizens healthcare whilst the USA can not. The Presidency of Obama has really showed me how fucked up some are in the USA.

Because it is about destroying the private insurance industry and making enough chaos that single payer seems like a good option.

Obama has proven to be a liar. He lied to millions of people who believed him.

He is on tape previously saying that single payer was the goal but it would take time.

This is just one step.

Doctors take an oath to do no harm. Obamacare has already caused millions of people to lose their current healthcare. It will be much worse in 2014 when this happens to the majority of people who have employer sponsored healthcare. It is simply happening to people who have individual policies now. And people think the website is the only problem when access to doctors and other critical things are being overlooked at this point. If the website worked 100% for every person, what does it matter if they cannot see a doctor for 6 months??

I am not troubled because this pig of legislation was never intended to help people.

What I would like to see is tort reform, allow direct pay clinics to operate much like Lasix eye care, remove legislation that gets in the way of competition like state limits on healthcare. I think the private sector could provide quailty healthcare at competitive rates if we simply got the government, the insurance companies and the lawyers out of the middle.

It is a horrible law. Nothing that was promised is coming true. You dont get to keep your doctor, you dont get to keep your insurance, it is not cheaper, it will not cover the top quality care at the medical research hospitals, etc... Why do you assume that since something called universal healthcare was passed that it is some sort of cure all for the healthcare system?

Bah... you just dont get it yet... It simply must get worse. (which is the progressive agenda anyway).

A lot of us against O'care would be for it if it did what you claim it does. If we can somehow convince you guys still in support what it actually is, we have a chance at doing something meaningful. I still have hope for you London, some others on here are too far into the team mentality. You believe what you were told by our leaders and it's sad that we can no longer trust them, but I can't blame you for that.

Serious question, how much would your bill have to be before you declared bankruptcy? Would a 20k bill do it? 30k? 100k? Or are you in a position where you can handle up to a million? Now add up your deductible and copay on a huge hospital bill. Does this law prevent you from being bankrupt? A common theme among those declaring bankruptcy is they lost their jobs because of the health issue. Does this law prevent you from losing your job you can no longer perform because of your health issues?

I'll say it again. I really wish O'care did what you guys claim it does. Nobody would abuse the ER, everyone would have insurance, doctor's would stop chopping off limbs for money (really Obama?), and nobody would ever bankrupt due to medical costs.

Republicans are scared to death that Obamacare will be successful and since they painted themselves in a corner condemning the Idea (a republican one) for the last 5 years they cannot do anything but hope for it's demise

And yes the Republicans have activlyh tried to sabotage it at every step.

Yes, I truly believe people here support the letter behind the man more than policy. Patriot Act was bad or good under Bush depending on team and worse or better under Obama. I've heard the war in Iraq as fabricated warmongering but the war in Afghanistan as righteous.

I like you, but I have dedicated my life to improving the life of others. I spend all day every day using my knowledge and tools at my disposal to helping people. I've been shit on, pissed on, spit on, puked on and hit more than once. I have a working knowledge of what we are arguing about and am trying to share it patiently. You calling me a sick fucker that only cares about me me me deserves a big ole fuck you lady, you suck.

Your claim was that O'care prevents bankruptcy because it removes the lifetime cap. My question was how much would you have to owe before you declared and does this bill prevent you from reaching that mark? For most, the simple answer to the simple question is no.
